11 yearsThey keep ringing, mostly in the morning around mid time. Always say they’re nearby! This has been going on for ages here in our tiny village! Really need to put an end to these calls!11 yearsReally tired of getting calls from this number, even though I’m signed up with the TPS.Telephone Preference Service11 yearsThis number has called me loads of times despite me being on the TPS list. It’s always some recorded woman chatting about replacing boilers, solar panels, or double glazing offers. I’ve tried hitting 9 like they say to stop the calls, but nothing changes. These calls are super irritating. - caller: 0843 884 0030Telephone Preference Service11 yearsGot a call I didn’t ask for but stuck around to have a word with whoever answered to let them know what I thought about their cold calls. Told them I’m not on benefits and don’t require a new boiler. Didn’t catch the company’s name, sadly, but fingers crossed speaking to a real person instead of a robot might put an end to these annoying calls! Proper frustrating. I’m registered with TPS as well, but that clearly doesn’t bother them one bit.Telephone Preference Service11 yearsHad the same thing happen to me like everyone else. I’ve reported it to the ICO online - anyone can do it that way. The more folks who report, the better chance something will actually get done.Information Commissioner ' s Office11 yearsI keep getting calls every single day off some lass with a thick Glaswegian accent telling me to shut up when I ask her to stop ringing me. I’m on the TPS list so it’s well annoying. They seem to think if you've got a landline you’re daft and past it. Honestly, these lot ought to be locked up for pestering people like this. It was something about replacing boilers or whatever, but she never said her name.GlasgowTelephone Preference ServiceCaller11 yearsReally sick of this firm. They ring every single day and leave messages if I don’t answer. I definitely don’t want a boiler!!11 yearsWhat can I even say? This number keeps ringing me up a couple of times daily. Nearly every time it rings for ages, it’s this same number. Honestly, it’s driving me mad. If there were any way to stop these people for good, they’d have been done away with ages ago.11 yearsThis number showed up pretending to be someone else on my call blocker! Talking nonsense about boiler offers. I can't get how these folks sleep at night, but I guess they do.11 yearsHey, I've got my answering machine switched on but they never leave a message, still ringing me non stop though!!!!11 yearsGot a robo call from a woman about some sort of Green Deal thing. They didn’t say who they were, but I heard somewhere it’s linked to a Mr Ahmed (not sure if that’s legit or dodgy). I'm on the TPS list and still get these annoying calls constantly. Why won't the phone companies crack down harder on these pesky telep###s? Honestly, thinking of just getting rid of my landline altogether.Ahmed11 yearsGot a robocall from a woman talking about some Green Deal thing. Didn't say which company she was from though. They didn’t say which firm they were with, but I saw online that some Mr Ahmed might be involved - sounds a bit dodgy if you ask me. Honestly, might just get rid of my landline if this keeps up. - caller: unknownAhmedTPSCaller11 yearsThis number rings me almost every day, and at all sorts of odd hours too. I answered and pressed 2, got through to someone, told them I'd be reporting them to the police if they kept ringing. They just ended the call straight away. Let's see if that stops them now. - caller: 0843884003011 yearsThis number has been ringing me both yesterday and today. I usually don’t pick up calls from numbers like this, so my answerphone picks up. Right after it clicks over, the call just hangs up. Pretty irritating if you ask me.11 yearsgot calls from this number every day for ages - they refuse to say what company they are and ignore requests to take you off their call list11 yearsThis number keeps ringing me up loads of times even though I’m signed up with the TPS. I usually sit through the whole message hoping there’ll be an option like ‘press 9 to stop getting calls,’ but they never mention that. In frustration, I tried pressing 2 today, thinking I’d get to speak to someone and ask them to stop, but instead I was stuck listening to annoying music for what felt like ages. During the wait, a voice with a really irritating American accent kept saying things like ‘your call is important to us,’ and then eventually just ended with ‘Goodbye.’ It all seems a bit dodgy - is it possible they’re charging you for pressing 2 after their message? This one’s about some Green Deal thing.11 yearsI keep getting calls from this number about some national database and the Green Deal. They ring me like two or three times every week, sometimes even calling twice in one day. It’s been going on for months now. Proper annoying!11 yearsGot another automated message on my voicemail, that’s twice today now. Like others said, it’s annoying there’s no number to ring back or any easy option to get off their list. Why can’t the regulators like TPS or BT do something to put a stop to this?TPSBT11 yearsso frustrating, i’m on the TPS list and they’ve rang me at least 20 times! they keep saying it’s from the “national database” or some spam about selling boilers. i live in a council flat, how do they even have my number?Telephone Preference Service11 yearsThis number keeps ringing us and it's really frustrating since our number is ex-directory and we never share it. The government and ICO should just make these sorts of calls unlawful. Why should we have to jump through hoops to try and block these nuisance calls? They need to be banned and the people behind them punished properly so they can't carry on like this.ICO11 yearsI've gotten like 5 calls already. They keep saying stuff like "National database" and telling me to "Press 2." Wish the ICO would just sort these people out!!Press 2ICO11 yearsMy BT call blocker stops the calls from even ringing, though it logs the number. Finally, my home feels calm again. It’s really a shame that we have to take such tough steps just to avoid these annoying calls. I always assumed harassment was against the law, but it looks like the officials don’t really care much about it.11 yearsBT 8500 basically shows the call didn’t connect, but it still says they attempted to ring. When that occurs, I just pop the number into this site and that’s how I figure out who was calling.11 yearsI asked my husband to ignore the call since that company has rang us several times already, and I really don’t want any dealings with them.11 yearsGot a BT 8500 phone and its like a wall against all those annoying calls. Since we started using it, not a single unwanted call has come through. Honestly, I’d suggest everyone get one. This number used to bug me all the time, but now it’s totally quiet.11 yearsThis number calls me all the time, I’ve stopped picking up now cos it’s just so annoying! No matter how many times I tell them to remove me from their list, they just keep ringing. It’s proper harassment.11 yearsDidn’t pick up the call. Looked the number up and it was another boiler service trying to sell renewals. Thinking about following someone else’s tip to set a time for them to call when I’m not around - maybe they’ll get the hint then.11 yearsGets on my nerves, ringing me practically every day, thankfully mostly while I’m working. They sometimes leave voicemails, but there’s never any way to opt out of their calls.11 yearsThey kept calling loads about some efficiency boiler problem. Kept ringing then just stopped without leaving a message but woke me up when I was poorly in bed for no good reason at all.11 yearsHonestly, the easiest trick is to hit 2 and book a visit when you’re not actually home - it really winds up the heating firms, and trust me, they’ll deal with these annoying calls. We got a new boiler from British Gas like 3 months back and they sent someone to check for a replacement. When they turned up I just pretended to be clueless about it. TPS and ICO don’t seem to help at all, otherwise these calls wouldn’t happen so much. I have talkng caller ID so I could see it wasnt saved in my contacts. When my answerphone picked up it just hung up, no message left. After seeing all the comments here, I’ve gone ahead and reported it to the ICO. I’m also on the TPS.ICOTPS11 yearsGreen deal calling every day, what a pain!11 yearsLeft a silent message on their voicemail after my call got sent there by my new call blocker, which I got just last month after noticing most calls were unwelcome sales pitches rather than anything useful. It’s a bit of a gamble since I might miss something important, but I was fed up with the stress of dealing with those rude callers. I really think the ICO should have the power to instantly suspend numbers reported multiple times - fines just drag on and don’t really discourage them. Shutting down numbers nationwide during a campaign would hit them harder and probably stop it sooner.ICO11 yearsNational Energy Database called about a boiler offer. They said my home hadn’t been checked according to some 'National Database' and if I wanted a surveyor to come around I should press 2. I normally get about five or six calls like this every week, but usually with no number showing up. This time I managed to find another number linked to them: 0141 367 9971. The lady on the line was really rude, insisting my name and number came from the ‘national database’ even though they had the wrong name, someone who’s never lived here. She also said the TPS doesn’t exist and isn’t valid in Scotland. She went on like that for about 5 minutes before swearing at me and hanging up. They wanted me to ring them back. But all that’s rubbish, none of it’s true. Plus, ringing 0843 numbers racks up extra charges (usually around 7-19p a minute from landlines), which reputable companies have mostly stopped using by now. People should report these fraudsters to the ICO so they can be stopped and fined.Telephone Preference ServiceUKInformation Commissioner ' s Office11 years08438840030 rings me up every single day, been like this for months!
