Got a call I didn’t ask for but stuck around to have a word with whoever answered to let them know what I thought about their cold calls. Told them I’m not on benefits and don’t require a new boiler. Didn’t catch the company’s name, sadly, but fingers crossed speaking to a real person instead of a robot might put an end to these annoying calls! Proper frustrating. I keep getting calls every single day off some lass with a thick Glaswegian accent telling me to shut up when I ask her to stop ringing me. I’m on the TPS list so it’s well annoying. Honestly, the easiest trick is to hit 2 and book a visit when you’re not actually home - it really winds up the heating firms, and trust me, they’ll deal with these annoying calls. They rang me twice in like 10 minutes, I just ignore these random numbers and any calls I don’t recognise or from outside my area. TPS and ICO don’t seem to help at all, otherwise these calls wouldn’t happen so much. There’s a business about half an hour away from where I live that got fined not long ago for making unwanted calls, yet they’re still at it, so clearly the fine didn’t make a difference.

Left a silent message on their voicemail after my call got sent there by my new call blocker, which I got just last month after noticing most calls were unwelcome sales pitches rather than anything useful. It’s a bit of a gamble since I might miss something important, but I was fed up with the stress of dealing with those rude callers. I really think the ICO should have the power to instantly suspend numbers reported multiple times - fines just drag on and don’t really discourage them. Shutting down numbers nationwide during a campaign would hit them harder and probably stop it sooner.

They said my home hadn’t been checked according to some 'National Database' and if I wanted a surveyor to come around I should press 2. I normally get about five or six calls like this every week, but usually with no number showing up. This time I managed to find another number linked to them: 0141 367 9971. When I rang it, a person answered and said the company was iCapital based at 54 Cook Street, Glasgow. I told them to take me off their list, and he promised to do so. These muppets have been ringing me non-stop since Monday (14 Dec 2015) from 08438840030 and 02031988115 trying to push a boiler on me. I've been playing along just to waste their time like they do mine, but things got out of hand today, 17 Dec 2015 at 14:02, when they rang back from a withheld number after I told them where to shove it. The caller, a woman, then started threatening to come and sort me out, which is ridiculous. I keep getting calls from this number every single day. It’s always a recorded message claiming to be from some National Database, telling me that if I’m receiving benefits, I’m entitled to a free boiler. As soon as I hear the voice, I hang up. The annoying thing is, they never seem to stop ringing. I’m 61, not in great health, and it really worries me how often they ring, sometimes when I’m trying to rest or when I can barely get to the phone, hoping it’s a call from my family, only to find it’s them again. I’m on the TPS list already, so I don’t understand why they keep getting through. I tried calling back, but no one picks up, and I’m worried it might be a premium number and I could get charged. Does anyone know how I can get them to stop? It’s really stressful.

They keep ringing me daily, often from a 0141 number. I've blocked that one now, but I’m pretty sure they’ll just switch to a different one. I’m fed up with businesses constantly calling. I'm on the phone preference service and my number’s ex-directory, but they still manage to get through. This lot are advertising boilers, solar panels and ppi claims. Honestly, it’s driving me mad. Something really needs to be done about this.

This number keeps ringing me about somethin called the Green Deal. They say you had to get a boiler by 2016 which just ain't true. There's no way to get them to stop as pressing option 2 doesn't do squat. Even though my number is on the TPS list, I still get these annoying and pointless calls all the time. Honestly, these pest calls need to be sorted out soon.

I got a call from someone saying they were iCapital, 54 Cook Street in Glasgow. They mentioned the manager is Mr Ahmed. If you want, you could try ringing 0141 367 9971 and ask to talk to him yourself? - caller name was iCapital

I've already had two calls today from this same number - they claimed to be from some green deal, saying they use a national database. Thing is, I'm signed up with TPS, so all this feels pointless. Makes me think, could they be sourcing our numbers straight from the TPS list?!

This is the third automated call ive got this week. Im ex directory and signed up with the TPS but they keep ringing me. Just ended the call and didnt bother answering, such a nuisance.

Keep getting these Green Deal robo calls with no invite from me. It’s really annoying. I’m on the TPS but still end up with about 2 or 3 calls every single day. Now I just let every call straight to voicemail. Stuff like this seriously messes with our peace of mind.

Got a call from some car service claiming they're linked to the green deal and offering free boilers if I qualify. I pressed 2 and ended up being put through to Warwick Hospital. Not sure if they've charged me or not.

Got another one of those Green Deal government robocalls today. The recorded message was awful, just a waste of time. I've blocked the number and reported it already. These auto-dialler calls are seriously getting on my nerves and have to end.

Green Deal Assessment calls keep coming through. They say they're from The Green Deal Funding Centre, but I’m not sure if that’s legit or just a telesales outfit. Their address is supposedly in Glasgow. I’m looking into it and will post an update soon. Meanwhile, I’d advise signing up with the TPS and ICO to avoid these nuisance calls.

Got a call from this number today, looked it up here, then instantly blocked it on my BT t#### phone. Had to get a new phone just so I could block these pesky numbers properly, but honestly, the calm is totally worth it.

I get calls from this number like 3 times every day. It's always the same recorded voice from some PPI firm. Honestly, it’s really annoying - does anyone know if you can block these for good?

Even though I’m signed up with the TPS, over the last two weeks I’ve been getting the same recorded message three times from this or similar 0843 numbers. They all said something about a Green Deal energy review, mentioning a “National database” to make it sound official and claimed every property in the UK has to be checked by 2016, making it seem like a legal thing. They wanted me to ring them back. But all that’s rubbish, none of it’s true. Plus, ringing 0843 numbers racks up extra charges (usually around 7-19p a minute from landlines), which reputable companies have mostly stopped using by now. People should report these fraudsters to the ICO so they can be stopped and fined.

Some bloke rang me saying he got my number from the national postal records. When I asked for his company's details, he totally blanked on the name and address, said it was his first day or something. Tried to get through to his manager, but apparently they'd already knocked off for the day. Couldn’t even give me a proper contact number. Seemed all a bit dodgy to me.
