I've been receiving calls from this number associated with Media Market in Budapest quite regularly. Each time, a recorded voice prompts me to press 9 if I'd like my number removed from their list. Yet, despite taking that step, the calls continue to flood in!

This number has rang me six times already. I reckon it’s some kinda PPI scam. I went and got a call blocker app on my phone. The one I use on my Blackberry lets me block any call that’s not saved in my contacts, so even if these lot keep switching numbers, I’m covered now!

I’m proper fed up with these cold callers. I’ve had four calls just this past hour and it’s Sunday evening of all times! You’d think they’d take a hint by now. I keep blocking the numbers but now it’s coming through as ‘unknown’ or ‘private’. It’s getting ridiculous!

Re the comment about the iPhone 5 blocking numbers - if you have one, you know it can easily block unwanted calls. So not sure why there's a fuss? Unless you don’t actually have an iPhone 5 yourself, maybe. I’m gonna have to check out this call blocking feature soon, as these constant calls are really starting to get on my nerves.

When I finally called back, there was an automated message saying it was Media Market Budapest. It told me to visit www.mpsonline.org.uk if I want to take my number off their marketing list. There was also an option to press 9 to get removed from their database. Fingers crossed it works!

Judging by the other reviews, this scam must have been going around quite a bit in the past day or so.
