I keep getting these automated calls on our business phones, at least five times each day. There are two messages going around - one says you can claim £250, and the other is about PPI compensation. It’s really annoying and ends up wasting a lot of time for us at work. Such a pain and completely distracting from business tasks.

Why not pick up the phone and strike up a chat using some fabricated tales? Then, after a bit, claim you've got to dash off to the front door or something equally urgent. By the time you circle back to the conversation, they'll likely have hung up in frustration. Just imagine if everyone started doing this - at least we’d be giving them a taste of their own annoying medicine, wouldn’t we?

I’m absolutely fed up with this number ringing me twice daily like clockwork. They always say press 5 for a PPI refund or 9 to stop the calls. I’ve hit 9 loads of times but they keep calling anyway, so today I picked 5. Some bloke with an Indian accent came on and asked my name.
