Got a call from this number today at 16:43 but missed it, so I called back. The recorded message said something like “Money Help” (didn’t catch the full name) and mentioned I might have been contacted about claiming compensation. They said if I missed a flight by over 3 hours in the past 3 years, I could get up to £550 per person. Then it said to press 3 to talk to an advisor. Didn’t bother with it - just added the number to my blocked list. Not interested in that rubbish.

PPI. I’ve reported this number to the ICO. The more folks that report and complain about it, the better chance there is that something will actually be done. Told them a few times already to remove me from their call list, but they never do. Told them again that I’m reporting them now. I got tricked, saw a Facebook app that said it could check if I had PPI, which I do 'cos I never claimed it plus stuff like mortgage cards. I’ve relied on this site many times to identify dodgy numbers, so it’s great to see others flagging these nuisances too. My routine is pretty much the same - never pick up when I don’t recognise the number (you never know when it might rack up unexpected charges!), just let it ring out or block it, then do a quick Google search to check it out. Of course, this one turned out to be just another pointless call from some organisation that really ought to be shut down! Contrary to what a lot of people seem to think, this isn’t about PPI. It’s actually a firm ringing up to check if your flight’s been postponed. I’d honestly steer clear of dealing with them and just contact the airline themselves to sort things out - got a call from them without asking for it.
