When I said I wasn’t interested and asked them to remove my number, they got quite aggressive. Then the following day, the same number called saying I was owed PPI. Once again, they turned nasty when I told them to stop calling me. I’ve blocked the number now.

Spent over £100 (with VAT) on calls in just a single day. Weirdly, the calls were made in sets of three, all beginning at exactly the same time. There were 6 calls overall, split between two different start times about 2 hours and 7 minutes apart. The first batch ran for roughly 2 hours, 6 minutes and 42/43 seconds. The second lot lasted about 53 minutes and 34/35 seconds.

Been getting calls from PPI and I've told them like 5 or 10 times to take our number off their list since it's an urgent line for work. The last time, they said we were being rude because I wouldn’t explain why it's an emergency phone, and now they just cut the call on me. They keep ringing every single day, it's really annoying. I’ve been getting quite a few calls like this recently. The most recent one I took had a bloke named Lewis on the other end, claiming I could claim back some PPI money. I told him I’ve never had PPI in my life, but he went on about how banks hide these things and loads of folks don’t know they’re owed anything. When I asked where he got my info from, he said from my bank. I told him I needed to verify with my bank first before continuing, and then he just cut me off!

Ignore calls from these numbers! They pretend to be from EE, o2, or some PPI firm, changing who they say they are whenever. If you hit '5', you'll get stung with a crazy high fee, like £1.50 a minute, even if the call lasts just a few seconds. Thankfully I’ve managed to avoid falling for it, but a mate at work got caught out by this trick.

I noticed a £35 charge on my recent Orange phone bill for calls to these people. I never even picked up the phone for those calls, yet somehow it appears like I made them myself? How on earth did this happen?? Thankfully, Orange understood my side of the story and agreed to remove the fee, big thanks to Orange/EE. I’ve got a Windows phone and it comes with a built-in call blocker - no need to download anything extra. My block list is massive now, with hundreds of numbers, and I barely get annoying calls anymore. You can even stop texts and calls from private numbers, which is really handy. Definitely worth using!
