This "company" just won’t stop ringing me, no matter how many times I report them to the info commissioner. I even emailed Christopher Benjamin Smith at [email protected], letting him know that if he keeps calling, I’ll send a bunch of junk mail and salespeople to his place at 25 Northside, Middridge, Newton Aycliffe, Durham DL5 7JF - and I’ve already started doing that. Loads of calls from Money Help Marketing about PPI recently. They say you can press 9 to stop getting more calls but that’s a load of rubbish, it doesn’t do anything. When I told the next caller this, she just hung up on me right in the middle of what I was saying. Very frustrating!

The phone number they used was 0333 002 0139, and their email is [email protected]. The firm’s director, Simon Benjamin Smith from Middridge, Co Durham, is currently listed as director for four new companies, all started within the last seven months. At least two of these are involved in direct marketing and making cold calls to generate leads. The companies he directs are KCS Marketing Ltd, Vanilla Money Ltd, Griffin Finance Ltd, and Money Help Marketing Ltd. Just a heads up if anyone else gets a call from them!

Like many, my number is unlisted, yet I'm still bombarded with several calls daily, to the point where I’ve stopped picking up the landline altogether. What really irks me is the fact that the government is enabling our personal information to be sold off to these data-hungry firms. If they won’t give you that, tell them you can’t deal with them since they aren’t trustworthy. Once you’ve got their details, say you’ll call back to sort things out - fingers crossed the number’s legit. But don’t bother calling back.
