Received a few calls from this number, but since I didn't recognise it, I just deleted them. One call went on for about 9 seconds, the other was similar. Got my O2 phone bill today and it was a whopping £110.39! Rang O2 and they told me I apparently called that number on 29th July (when I was on holiday) and the call lasted 5 hours 39 minutes. No chance I dialled it, let alone chatted that long. O2 said they’re looking into it now.

Had a call today, thinking it was about a refund or cancellation from a firm I’d been waiting to hear back from. Oddly enough (or maybe not so odd), the person asked me about my mortgage provider and if they could help me get a refund through them. Got a call from this number earlier today. When I tried calling it back using a different phone, I got a recorded message saying the number isn’t genuine and that the first call was likely from a dodgy firm or individual trying to sell you stuff. The recording warned to just ignore and not engage with them. They’ve actually reported it to ISCO, Ofcom, and the fraud team who are investigating the abuse of phone services. Honestly, it’s nice to see someone finally taking action against these annoying calls. :)

Definitely a cold call. The guy said I had some PPI claim waiting, which I found pretty funny since I don’t even hold a current bank account. I picked up just to ask them to remove my number from their list. A young bloke answered, sounded like he was in one of those call centres. I told him I’ve got no bank account, no mortgage, no credit cards or loans. Just as I was about to tell him to take me off their database, he ended the call. So now I’m still stuck on their system! It’s bad enough getting bombarded with these annoying calls, but having staff who don’t even follow basic trading standards rules for telemarketers is just wrong.
