Got loads of missed calls from these lot, sometimes even three in one day. Said they were RCN, but the lady sounded Indian and there was loads of background noise. Don’t trust them with your info. Definitely not legit RCN.

They keep ringing me at all times, day and night. I just ignore them because of what other people have said about where the calls come from.

Got a call today, sounded like a woman from India or somewhere similar. Said quite a bit of stuff same as other people mentioned. She included my first name, said I was part of RCN and that I’m qualified, plus my landline number. Then the call just stopped. Glad it ended quickly. RCN really need to know about this and do something. This is a total leak of private info. Can you imagine if us Nurses did something like that!

After seeing the reviews, I'm really glad I didn't pick up. Still, it's pretty frustrating if RCN is just giving our numbers away like that. I work as a nurse as well.

Loads of noise in the background. First they rang my mobile and I missed it, then they called my landline - which I hardly ever share. The caller said they were from RCNi, part of the RCN group, and asked how I was doing today. I said I knew what the RCN was and wanted to know why they were contacting me, then the call just ended. I’m a registered nurse and a member of the RCN, so I’ll definitely be looking into how this dodgy lot got hold of my home number.

RCN. Looks like someone using RCN details to target qualified nurses for magazine subscriptions about nursing. That’s how they get your name. As for checking bank details, no chance. Really disappointing that RCN (or their partners) are making these cold calls.

Got a call from this number earlier, claiming to be from RCN, offering a 3 month free trial for online training courses and access to journals. The bloke then asked me to confirm my bank details but I refused and said I was driving. He said he’d call back in an hour but still no sign of him ringing again.

If it’s the same number that got in touch a few months back when I signed up with RCN again, I’m pretty sure they’re just after getting folks to sign up for magazines or something. They claimed to be from RCNi, offering a 3-month subscription for just £1 a month to access an online journal platform for CPD. I let them talk for a minute or two before telling them I wasn’t willing to pay anything since I already have everything I need. Eventually, they just hung up. They had rung my mobile a bit earlier but I ignored it as the number was unfamiliar. I only picked up the landline out of irritation at their pushiness and figured I’d humour them. It’s quite frustrating to think the RCN might be handing out our info like this!

Got a call from a woman speaking with a South African tone, saying she was from RCN. She tried to get me to subscribe to some kind of journal and e-learning course online, saying it'd help with CPD for just £1 a month! Said it was some special offer or something. I told her I’ve got all the CPD stuff I need already, cheers.

Had three calls missed yesterday, finally answered today. The caller was really insistent, said they were from the RCN asking about revalidation and professional development stuff. Gonna have a look with the RCN myself now to see if it’s legit.

They said they knew I was with the RCN and wanted to get me a 3 month subscription to the RCN Nursing mag. They were really persistent and got a bit strange when I said no. They first called my mobile, which I ignored, then rang my work phone instead. If the RCN is sharing my info with third parties, that’s definitely not right.

I called the number back and found out it was this company called Abacus, claiming to be contacting me for the Royal College of Nursing. I didn't pick up originally since I didn’t know the number, and they never left a voicemail either. My partner works as a nurse and is part of the RCN, so if this was a legit call, why wouldn’t they leave any kind of message?

Rang me, didn’t bother to leave a message, but I rang them back thinking it might be something urgent from BT (with the number being unrecognised). Instead, I got a message thanking me for ‘taking part’ in something-whatever that’s supposed to mean. I've gone ahead and blocked the number along with any possible texts from them. Got a call from this number but it went straight to voicemail. I could hear loads of noise in the background. Then a bloke said to someone, “I hate it when you can't see their faces, don’t you?”. He laughed and said, “Let’s hear what this one sounds like”. Afterwards, he said ‘hello’, probably realised no one was answering and just hung up.
