They called saying I entered a survey and wanted to send me some puzzles in a PDF format, which I do enjoy. Then they offered a sample of a puzzle book for £1. I said no, and when they asked why, I explained I’m uncomfortable sharing my bank details on the phone. She insisted it was just £1 and protected by a direct debit scheme, but I declined again. I didn’t get any puzzles sent over either. Totally seems like a phishing scam to me.

I picked up a call from an 020 number and they kept saying they weren’t trying to sell anything. Turns out, it’s a scam to grab your details and then ring you back from that same number to try and sell stuff.
