Got a call about a survey on quitting smoking and they tried to sell me a weekly magazine for a quid. They asked for my bank details right there, but I told them I wasn’t comfortable giving that out over the phone. The guy got quite pushy, saying it was all secure and safe, even threw out some numbers he claimed were his sort code and account number. He said I could call back once I’d had a chance to check. Nah, I’m not taking it any further, cheers.

Got a call pushing ppi hard, kept saying I was sorting it on my own and didn’t need their help. Told them why would I let them take commission off me. The guy started getting more and more worked up till I calmly said I’d already written to my credit company about ppi and got good results without paying anything like their fees. Then he just hung up. Never heard from them after that.
