I got a message from Halifax while I was overseas. Tried ringing the number they gave, but the call kept dropping. Now I’m back home and spoke with the Halifax banking security team; they said it definitely wasn’t from them.

Got a text claiming to be from Barclays, seemed a bit off to me.

Got these dodgy texts saying £4000 was taken from my account, supposedly from Halifax, but I don't even have an account with them! Then the same number rang again claiming to be Barclays, same story about £4000 being withdrawn. Called them back just to see, now I’m wondering how much the call cost me - bet it wasn’t cheap. Definitely a scam, watch out!
