Just received a similar call today, literally moments ago. I pressed five to get in touch and uncover who was on the other end. The lady confirmed she offers a "Will writing service." When I asked if she was a Solicitor, she said she wasn’t, but assured me there was an attorney linked to the firm. As soon as I inquired about the name of the company, she promptly hung up. Our verdict: “This lot can’t be trusted.”

At precisely 15:39, I received a call, and thankfully, my caller ID was functioning properly. It’s puzzling how often these calls come through-either you see a number or it simply says "Number withheld." These individuals are likely footing the bill for the line without an inkling of who’s on the other end. Someone astutely mentioned, "This device, so to speak, lacks emotional intelligence," and that resonates. So why not utilise caller ID to turn the tables on them? At precisely two oh five this morning, our phone rang. Naturally, I decided to ring them back, only to find they were after my name and number to facilitate an opt-out. It’s baffling, really, because if they didn’t already have our details, how on earth could they have gotten through to us in the first instance? I’ve taken the proper steps to register with the Telephone Preference Service and ensured my number is ex-directory, yet it seems that 118 can’t seem to keep my landline number under wraps when it’s requested. Quite the frustrating situation!

I'm receiving several calls daily from this number or similar ones (ending in 4001/4015/4013/40124005). When I try to return the call, I just get an automated message saying, 'You have been contacted by a marketing company; no action is needed on your part.' Brilliant, thanks for that! But how do I make this frustration go away?! I've been on the Telephone Preference Service for a year now, yet I'm still bombarded with at least three calls daily from this or other unknown numbers. It's honestly driving me up the wall!
