I rang 01654767248 and got an automated voice telling me not to use that number and to call 08431167780 instead. So I called the second number and was kept waiting on hold for about 15 minutes before I gave up. Then I tried the first number once more and, to my surprise, I got through to the company I was after straight away!

Tried calling Biffa but was informed this number has replaced the old one. Still, you can never actually get hold of anyone!!!

I called TalkTalk about my mobile and they said they've changed the number to the one listed above. Seriously, police and regulators, this isn’t some game where they can nick cash without consequences. Find these lot, get the money back, and give them a proper talking to!

I got a call from the number 01606 221611, and the name on my phone said Tracey Nico. But when I tried ringing back, it connected me to 0843 1167780 instead.

I got a call from what looked like a 01945 private number, so I called back at the number they told me to. But the line dropped after less than a minute. Definitely feels like some sort of scam to me.

The home phone's been redirected, but it seems to be going solely to a mobile number on TalkTalk or Orange.

I called a mate on 01945.... but the line was dead, they said it's not active anymore and asked me to ring an 0843 number instead. How is that even allowed?

I tried reaching out to the bus station using the number I had but found out they've changed it. I was left hanging on the line for twenty-five minutes without any response, and in the end, nobody even picked up! It’s quite dodgy, so I’d advise everyone to be cautious about this situation!
