1 yearGot a call off this number, the bloke on the line spoke rubbish English, called himself Asif Khan. He gave some number like 8071 or something. Proper rude fella, kept saying I owed money on debts I’d never even heard about. Tried to ask for someone else who knew what they were talking about, but he told me not to butt in when he was talking. Then he went on about calling the police and said he was a bailiff or something. Didn’t have a clue how he got my phone number either. Really dodgy call.Asif Khan2 yearsI transferred some money from my Santander account to a different account I hold with another bank here in the UK. Since then, I’ve been getting calls from this number that I don’t know. I don’t usually pick up calls from unknown numbers, so I just let it go to voicemail. I have absolutely no idea if it’s Santander calling or what they want about the payment going to my other account. Very confusing!SantanderUK4 yearsI’m pretty sure that call was from Santander’s Fraud team. They were really helpful, which was reassuring.Santander5 yearsI was just moving some cash and wanted to make sure it was genuine, so I called up Santander to double-check.Santander5 yearsGot a robo call claiming to be from Santander. Rang up their official security line just to be sure.Santander5 yearsMy father-in-law got a voicemail from an automated voice claiming there was some dodgy activity on his Santander account. Although the number is from the UK, it’s not mentioned anywhere on Santander’s official website. Plus, the number given for reporting fraud on the site is completely different from this one. Since there’s been no unusual transactions on his account, we’re pretty certain this call is at best sketchy.SantanderUK5 yearsMy father-in-law got an automated call claiming there was some dodgy stuff going on with his Santander account. Although it’s definitely a UK number, I checked the Santander UK website and this number isn’t mentioned anywhere. Plus, the official fraud helpline they list is nothing like this one. Since there hasn’t been any unusual transaction on his account at all, we’re pretty certain this call is sketchy and shouldn’t be trusted.SantanderUK6 yearsGot a robotic call from santander regarding a payment i owed. then, a text popped up from another number saying they called me too. seems like the number is genuine to me.SantanderSubmit Your Own Report (0808 280 2983)
