My husband received a message on his laptop claiming he had downloaded inappropriate content and urgently required security assistance. Alarmed by this, they pressured him into revealing details from three different bank cards, attempting to withdraw £900 from two of them. Thankfully, we've had those cards cancelled through our bank. Be wary, this is nothing but a scam!

I recently found myself in a bit of a bind and, in a moment of naïvety, dialled the number 0800 090 3284 after searching for Gmail support online. The chap on the other end, a Jordan Will with quite a pronounced Indian lilt, claimed my laptop had been compromised by a hacker based in Moscow and was requesting a hefty sum of £200 to resolve the alleged issue. Instantly, my instincts kicked in, and I sussed something wasn't quite right. I told him I might get back to him and asked for a number to reach him, which, rather interestingly, was the same one he had given me. Upon returning to the high-street retailer where I purchased my laptop, they informed me that this was a dodgy operation and warned me that Gmail does not offer technical support via the phone, nor would they ever ask you to purchase a service from them. TAKE HEED AND STAY AWAY FROM THIS NUMBER, OR YOU could end up with a lighter wallet and potential harm to your computer!

I recently dialled this number seeking assistance, but I must admit I started to feel uneasy when I was quoted £150 for a mere six months of 'security', whilst a four-year package was priced at £300. It raised more than a few eyebrows! To make matters worse, they managed to connect to my laptop via a modem, which has left me concerned they may have compromised it. I'm really hoping that’s not the case. I told them I would ring back, but thankfully I stumbled upon this site and realised it was a scam. Huge thanks to unknownphone.com for shedding light on this!

A mate of mine received an email that she mistook for junk, thinking I had sent it. So, I searched for a contact number for Yahoo and gave them a bell. To my shock, they claimed my email was compromised and insisted I buy additional security measures, which I regrettably fell for. Now, after doing some digging, I'm absolutely gutted to realise it was all a con, yet I can’t seem to reach Yahoo for help with this.

I recently rang Yahoo's customer service on +44 800 014 8093 to sort out some problems with my Yahoo email account, mostly concerning those annoying prompts urging me to adjust my settings. I ended up having a long chat with a customer support representative, whom I genuinely believed to be affiliated with Yahoo. To my shock, he claimed that my account was facing serious issues and persuaded me that I absolutely needed an extensive five-layer protection package, which included safeguarding against hacks and email threats. However, it soon turned out that this advisor wasn’t even associated with Yahoo; he was actually working for a dodgy outfit called Global Soft Tech. They seem to have a penchant for using the number 0808 280 3043. My advice? Avoid calling that number at all costs. The entire Yahoo Customer Care section appears to be a complete scam!

I was in a bit of a pickle trying to get some assistance with my Yahoo account, so I took to Google for help and stumbled upon the number 08000903859. They assured me they could resolve the issue, claiming my computer had been compromised, but they mentioned there would be a fee involved. I started to feel uneasy about the whole situation. Ever since, my laptop has been acting strangely and keeps insisting that my Yahoo password needs updating. I'm really quite unsure of what steps to take from here. Any advice, anyone?

It seems there's some dodgy business going on with individuals posing as trustworthy sources, all while directing folks to Nexxus. Quite alarming, I must say.
