08081446661 Summary (Read all comments)

Phone number ☎️ 08081446661 πŸ‘† is reported as a company offering unsolicited "free" electrical safety inspections, primarily targeting elderly individuals through cold calls. While some have encountered courteous electricians and reliable service over many years, numerous comments warn of aggressive sales tactics and questionable practices involving high-pressure quotes for unnecessary work. Several accounts describe misleading behaviour, such as presenting false evidence of faults, fostering fear about home safety, and unverified identities, leading to suspicions of scams aimed at vulnerable customers. The company’s legitimacy is disputed, with concerns raised about potential insurance issues if recommended repairs are declined. Authorities have reportedly been notified about these practices. New visitors should exercise caution, verify credentials independently, and seek alternative trusted electrical professionals for safety checks.

I got a call from an electrician who wanted to do an electrical check. He was really nice and mentioned he’d been with the company for more than 20 years. He was local too, and the check went smoothly - everything was sorted fine. Definitely would recommend him!

I've called on their services quite a bit over the past two decades, always found them to be genuinely pleasant people to interact with.

I’ve just had an electrical inspection carried out by these guys, and I’ve been using their services for over 20 years now. Always had a good experience - friendly folks and their rates are reasonable too.

Seems like a legit company, the electrician was quite friendly too.

I reckon these electrical firms are just after pensioners’ money with unnecessary jobs. They pop in, do a rushed, half-hearted check, then hand over a quote for stuff that probably doesn’t even need fixing. Feels like they might be scoping out the place for a break-in rather than fixing any real issues.

Some bloke called Peter Brook rang my father-in-law, who’s quite trusting, pretending to be an electrician. After chatting for a bit and sounding pretty believable, my father-in-law actually let him come round! He said there was some work that cost about £xxxx and warned of serious trouble if it wasn’t done. Honestly, we really should watch out more for the people we care about! 😠

Someone popped up at my mum’s, gave her a quote and claimed a picture was of her fuse box. Turns out the photo wasn’t even of the right thing. Bit sus if you ask me.

I got a call from Electrical Safety Company Limited, they ring up elderly folks saying it’s time for their inspection. Then they hit them with a massive bill for supposedly doing repairs later on. Sounds really dodgy to me. I’ve already told Trading Standards about it. They might be a legit firm on paper, but what they’re doing ain’t right at all.

A dodgy person showed up at our house claiming to be from an electrical company, and they even had some paperwork that looked legit. But my daughter got suspicious, called the police after noticing a few things that didn’t add up, and it turned out to be a scam.

Got a call earlier from someone named Eileen, said she was from Electrical Safety, but I can't seem to find any info about that firm anywhere. She was pushing a free check-up on my fusebox and a couple of sockets, said it was no strings attached. Then I had another call from the number 01603 397930 - I guess it was to set up the visit? I didn’t answer though after seeing what people are saying here!

My mum and dad, who are quite old, have just had the same thing happen to them. Seems like this lot are picking on older folks. I’m going to have someone come round to check if anything actually needs fixing. Definitely won’t be using them again, cold calling pensioners like that just feels dodgy.

I’d say this is kind of a half-scam! It’s basically electricians fishing for jobs. My elderly folks, who are in their 80s, almost got caught out when they offered a ‘free’ electrical safety check, which I’m sure would have ended up with them spotting ‘problems’ that needed fixing at a hefty price. From what I can tell, these guys aren’t connected to any official energy company, even though they try to make it sound like they are. Clearly, they’re targeting vulnerable people and pushing costly electrical repairs. Don’t fall for it!

Today, my mum got a call from a company claiming there was someone nearby who’d ring about 20 minutes before turning up at her place to check her fusebox. They supposedly carried out the inspection and promised to send a report to her. I’ve told her not to take any more calls from them and ignore any reports that might come through. Mum reckons it all seemed pretty genuine, so she’s a bit shocked to hear it might be a scam.

Got a call from this number earlier, saying they want to do a complimentary electricity inspection. The bloke on the line introduced himself as David and sounded quite sincere, but you never really know over the phone, do you? Then a young lady rang me to set up an appointment, mentioning they’ll be nearby tomorrow. Bit of a coincidence, really. Sadly, I couldn’t take them up on it ’cause I’m tied up all day. Any advice on what I should do next? Cheers, Mary M.

Got a call about a free electrical safety check, covering the fusebox and a couple of sockets. If you say yes, they ring you back from 01603397938 - you get an automated message but no one actually picks up. Then they inform you that any work they suggest will come at a cost and if you don’t have it done, your insurance won’t cover you anymore. They claim the electrician used to work for the old electricity board. For East Anglia, their after-hours contact (after 6pm) is 07825794045; apparently there’s another for the rest of the UK, but I’m not sure what it is.

Got a call from some lot saying they’d do a 'free' electrical inspection, probably trying to con elderly folks. Be careful, sounds dodgy to me.
