They charged me £30 straight from my account and then keep taking £14.99 every month. It’s called the savvy card or something like that. They say it’s for discounts but it’s a total RIP OFF. Seriously, don’t hand over any of your info to them!

I just rang Lloyds bank straight away about this number. The person I spoke to checked it out and confirmed it really is a Lloyds number. Some folks on here had me proper worried, so if anyone else is fretting, just call your bank yourself and give them the number. They’ll tell you if it’s genuine or not. In this case, yeah, it IS a Lloyds number. To those saying otherwise, please stop.

Just had a rather odd encounter with an Indian chap who requested some information from me. I replied, “Well, you reached out via this number, so you ought to have the details at hand!” and then he abruptly hung up. By the way, the number for Lloyds is 0345 602 1997 if anyone needs it!

Got two texts over two days with the exact same message like some other folks here mentioned. I figured it was a scam since Lloyd's never contacts me by text & it came through late at night, not normal working hours. What worries me is how some scammer managed to get my account number as well as my mobile number. I’m thinking of letting Lloyd's know about this.

I got this text a few times saying "Lloyds Bank Please ring us back on 08081014462 about your account. Cheers.” I looked up the number on the official Lloyds site and rung them up, they told me they haven't sent any messages and that 08081014462 isn’t their phone number. Don’t call that number, if you’re unsure just use the real Lloyds contact number.

Had a ring this morning from someone claiming to be Lloyds Bank, they even mentioned my surname and wanted me to verify my details for 'security reasons'. I refused as I wasn’t sure it was legit, and the caller just dropped the call! Got a text claiming to be from Lloyds Bank telling me to ring them. I called the number, heard “welcome to personal banking,” but no mention of Lloyds. It then said press one to debit your account or two to speak to an adviser. When I pressed two, it asked for my bank details. Totally a scam. I received a text regarding a Lloyd's account, which is rather puzzling since I've never held one. This message appeared on my recently acquired mobile number and SIM, which I've solely employed for data, without any calls or texts. I got a call from someone claiming to be from Lloyds bank. There was loads of background noise, like a busy call centre or something. They messaged me asking me to ring a number about my bank account. When I called, they put me on hold and said they had to check my name and postcode, which I had no choice but to give. After waiting a few minutes with no word, I just ended the call - figured it might be a scam to keep me on the line for ages.
