I just received a call on my daughter's phone from the number mentioned above. The caller pretended to be from O2, but I told her that I preferred to visit the shop in person. I hung up and made sure to block the number.

The number in question gave me a ring around 5:05 PM, but it was an 0800 number and, annoyingly, no one picked up.

I've taken to letting all unfamiliar numbers head straight to voicemail. I've got a little message set up that says, "I don’t pick up calls from numbers I don’t recognise. Please leave a message, and I might return your call."

For the past couple of days, I've received calls from this number, and upon spotting the 0800 dialling code, I chose to ignore it.

I received a call from an individual claiming to represent 02, attempting to entice me with a so-called superior plan. When I politely declined, he proceeded to suggest an improved family plan instead. I turned that down as well, yet he audaciously inquired if I was absolutely certain about my decision!

I had a rather unexpected call from this number claiming to be from O2, promoting some sort of loyalty programme. I informed them that I don’t engage with uninvited calls and expressed my disinterest before promptly ending the conversation.

I received a call from a number I didn't recognise, so I chose to ignore it. They didn't leave a voicemail, which made me think it was likely a dodgy or scammy call. I've gone ahead and blocked that number.

I receive around three calls each day—once in the morning, again in the afternoon, and the last one in the evening. Strangely enough, none of them ever gets answered. I’ve done some digging and even consulted a few friends, and it appears the number might be linked to O2, although I'm rather sceptical given that they don't leave any voicemails.

They've been ringing me three times a week!

I received a genuine call from O2 regarding my renewal options, and after a bit of back and forth with the representative, I managed to score a brand-new phone for just £6.40 extra than my previous sim-only deal. Absolutely chuffed to bits—major kudos from me!

I put a stop to that number last year, yet they persist in ringing me daily without fail.

They've called pretending to be from O2, but I’ve checked with O2 themselves, and it turns out that this isn't one of their official numbers. Quite dodgy if you ask me!

I got a rather peculiar automated call claiming I was the sole attendee on some kind of conference call! Naturally, I put the phone down straight away. A few minutes later, they tried again, but I chose not to pick up this time and promptly blocked the number.

Received a call from O2, where they provided me with some fundamental details regarding my account, such as my name, number, and monthly fee. They were keen to up my data plan while slashing the price, yet insisted I sit through a lengthy explanation of the terms and conditions. I decided it was best to end the call.

It seems like I've been plagued by these dodgy characters, as they've rung me several times throughout January. Honestly, I hope they find their way someday!

I've had several calls from this number, purporting to be from O2, saying they could help me cut down my bills. I asked them to take me off their calling list and to stop ringing me, but they just kept pestering me on my mobile. I've had enough and blocked them now. I'm quite sure these are dodgy characters trying their luck.

Had a dodgy phone call earlier, claiming to be from O2. The caller couldn’t provide a single detail about my account but wanted to 'review' it. I rather firmly advised them to take a hike!

I received a call from someone purporting to be my mobile provider. They began with, "Hello, it's your network provider," to which I asked for the name of the network. Suddenly, they cut the line. Very peculiar indeed!

Over the past week, I've received a number of calls from individuals purporting to be from O2, my mobile network. I was suspicious right from the start, so I decided not to engage. However, today I picked up the phone, and they inquired about my devices. I couldn’t help but reply, "Surely you would have that information on record?" The conversation didn't carry on for long after that!

I wasn’t familiar with the phone number, so I decided to look it up on 'Who Called Me UK.' Turns out, it’s linked to telemarketing and Virgin, along with a few others. Interestingly, they didn’t bother to leave a voicemail. I’ve since blocked the number on my mobile.

Received a call from a bloke claiming to be from O2. He enquired about my satisfaction with my phone and whether I had any thoughts on upgrading. This number is simply unbearable! I've included it on my Blocked list, yet I still get notifications from Truecaller about their incessant calls. They managed to try ringing me twice yesterday and once this morning already. They've been at it for three consecutive days, pestering me once each day in September. I've no idea who’s behind it, but I’m determined to keep it firmly blocked!

It's abundantly clear this is a fraudulent operation. Any remarks suggesting it's above board are suspect as well. O2 doesn’t initiate calls to customers unless it’s previously arranged; they simply don’t engage in unsolicited marketing. So, if you receive a call seemingly from O2 out of nowhere, rest assured it’s nothing more than a charlatan trying their luck. Stay vigilant!

They rang me up twice before I finally picked up on the third attempt. The caller claimed to be from O2 and requested my name. I informed him that he must have dialled the wrong number, all the while having done my homework online earlier to uncover that it was a scam. He simply responded with an "okay, bye." Quite an unexpected encounter, to say the least!

Over the past three days, my phone’s been buzzing with a staggering 12 calls at all sorts of hours, from the crack of dawn to the dead of night. I've received a staggering nine calls from this number! I've actually picked up twice just to explain that I'm quite satisfied with my O2 plan and have no interest in switching. I received a call from someone purporting to be from O2, and they had the gift of the gab, making it sound quite authentic. However, when I tossed out a fictitious price from a rival company, they claimed they could match it. It all seemed a bit fishy and downright unlikely, if you ask me. It definitely had the hallmarks of a scam. I ended the conversation and promptly blocked the number.

I received a call from a chap with an Irish accent, who said he was representing O2. He then had the audacity to insult me, calling me a certain derogatory term! There you go, just reinforces my point!

I received a call from this number claiming to be O2. They seemed to have my name and even the type of my mobile phone. Received a phone call where the person on the line wanted me to verify my name. I responded with "that's right," but then she insisted I simply say yes or no. Had a rather pleasant experience with O2, as they had all my contract information accurate and in order. They simply asked me to verify my email address. I’m a bit puzzled about whether this is a scam or not. They simply enquired if I was satisfied with my phone and contract, nothing more. Strangely, they didn’t attempt to offer any discounts or ask for any personal information like my address or card details. Quite baffling, really!
