This number rings me like 3 or 4 times daily, and I always let it go to voicemail because it's so irritating. Finally, I put a block on it, so hopefully, they’ll stop bothering me now.

Just got a call from this number again, but as soon as I answered, they just hung up without saying a word. I've already blocked it but they keep trying. What a pain!

I've had four missed calls in the last fortnight (and still counting). Given that our mobile number is registered with the Telephone Preference Service, and considering these are new callers, I'm quite curious to know how they obtained our number.

Got a couple of missed calls from this number today.

Was driving so I didn’t pick up, but it sounds like they didn’t hang up properly. Got a voicemail with some swearing in the background, someone even said “they’re worse than the bloody Africans”. Definitely adding this number to my block list.

This number has been ringing me loads since last week. I finally picked up today and after a quiet pause, some bloke asked for me by name and claimed he was with O2!! I just ended the call straight away!!

Received a call earlier today from a number that rang twice. They claimed to be from Oval Energy, asking if we'd be interested in switching our supplier. We did some digging on three different comparison websites, but it seems there’s no record of such a company. Quite odd, isn't it?

I was sick of this number keep ringin me, so I decided to use the call blacklist app. It’s a great app, now whenever they try to call, it just blocks straight away and my phone doesn’t even buzz. Definitely made life easier!

Yeah, it's O2 alright. I called them back after they rang me last time, giving out my info and everything. I even told their sales team not to get in touch anymore, and they said they wouldn’t bother me again. Well, guess what? They lied, because this morning alone I got three calls from them. Every time I pick up, no one says a word. Honestly, this is so annoying, I won’t be staying with O2 anymore. Just terrible service!

For the past couple of days, this number has popped up on my phone. I’ve just let it ring out without answering. They tried calling my home phone too, claiming to be from O2, but I wasn't buying it and told them to shove off. Since then, no more calls on my landline from them. :)

I got a call from someone saying they were with O2, saying there were loyalty deals for me. The guy had a West African or London accent and started asking for security info. I wasn’t having it and when I didn’t give any details, he just cut me off and ended the call.

I usually just ignore calls from unfamiliar numbers since they’re mostly from telemarketers or spam.

Someone from O2 told me that the number above isn’t actually one of theirs, so just watch out for it.

UNRELIABLE A rather dubious set of individuals reached out to my wife on her mobile phone, claiming to be representatives of O2, and asked to speak to "Mrs Xxxxx". My wife struggled to hear them as they sounded like they were in a bustling call centre, so she passed her phone to me. The caller said, "I’ve got some great offers and other bits for you" - not exactly what one would expect from a professional conversation, I must say. He then insisted that he needed to "...guide you through DPA." Here’s how the exchange unfolded: Caller: "Are you the account holder?" Me: "No, that would be my wife." C: "Alright. Is her full name Yyyy Xxxxx?" Me: "Yes, that’s correct." C: "Cheers. You've now passed the DPA checks. Now, can you tell me if you have any tablets in your home?" Doesn’t that seem a tad too simplistic? I’ve worked in a call centre myself and know what a legitimate DPA check entails - this was laughable! They provided a name and then asked if it was correct, which is backward; they should have verified my identity first! I didn’t have to divulge any of my information at all - it was just a yes or no answer. Proper DPA procedures require that I disclose identification details in response to three distinct questions. So, I deftly avoided his inquiry regarding the contents of our home and drilled him about his O2 affiliation instead. He floundered when I posed two straightforward questions about O2 - (What’s the parent company of O2? Which country are they based in?) I made it clear that I doubted their legitimacy as O2 representatives, pointed out their flawed DPA process, and courteously concluded the call.

Absolutely agree, it was quite bothersome! We were cruising down the motorway when it rang and had to divert into a service area just to figure out what it could possibly entail!

Greetings! Just wanted to share my experience with Ovo Energy. I had a chat with their team earlier today, and I must say, they were incredibly accommodating. It's refreshing to see a company that doesn't splash out on television or magazine adverts, choosing instead to reinvest their resources for the benefit of their customers. I mentioned I'd give them another ring once we had done some more digging into their services. It started off as a bit of a chilly call, but we're rather chuffed with how things turned out, as they've managed to shave over £200 off our annual bills. Feeling rather pleased about it all! Received two calls from this number today. Each time we answered, it was just dead air on the line-no one uttered a single word. So, we decided to hang up.

Today, I received yet another couple of calls from this number. During the first attempt, there was silence on the other end, but the second time it was a gentleman requesting information about our electricity and gas provider. Strangely, he seemed to know exactly who we're already with. It was only afterwards that we recognised it was indeed the same number; otherwise, I'd have certainly voiced my annoyance at their incessant calling!
