3 yearsGot a call on my phone but they didn’t bother leaving a message. Thought it might be dodgy, and after checking out the other comments, I’m sure it’s a scam.3 yearsGot a call on my phone but no voicemail or anything. After seeing what others said about this number, I just went ahead and blocked it 😂🚫3 yearsI received a call from someone claiming to be from O2. They awkwardly inquired if my friend and I were involved in the adult film industry and whether we were in need of financial assistance. Quite the peculiar conversation, I must say!3 yearsI got a ring from Sky but it felt a bit dodgy, so I just ended the call.Sky3 yearsI hung up and decided to ring the number back, only to find out it wasn’t even a real number!3 yearsI let it ring out since no one left a voicemail, felt like one of those typical spam calls or telemarketers, nothing urgent for sure.3 yearsReceived a couple of messages claiming to be from O2, which raised my suspicions. They were quite crafty, asking for a code from the second text. However, after scrutinising the messages (which is a bit of a hassle since they arrive on the same device you’re using), the content clearly warns against sharing any codes, even if someone claims to be from O2. It also mentioned that if you get a call asking for that code, it’s a scam. Just so you know, those codes are indeed legitimate and are generated when the scammer clicks the 'forgot password' option while trying to infiltrate your account. It's definitely a SCAM, so be vigilant!3 yearsExercise caution with this caller! A chap rang me up claiming to represent O2, saying that as a ‘valued customer’, I was eligible for a 40% discount. He assured me they wouldn’t ask for any of my personal information and that I would receive a text with a one-time passcode. It’s crucial to proceed with caution here, as the text clearly stated that even O2 employees should never ask for this passcode, which is not to be shared under any circumstances. When I pointed this out to the fellow on the line, he became quite defensive, insisting he had already verified his identity as an O2 representative and wouldn’t require any further information. I reminded him of the message’s warning, emphasising that if someone demands the passcode, it must be a scam, and I planned to hang up. At that point, he abruptly terminated the call for me.
