3 yearsGot a call on my phone but they didn’t bother leaving a message. Thought it might be dodgy, and after checking out the other comments, I’m sure it’s a scam.3 yearsGot a call on my phone but no voicemail or anything. After seeing what others said about this number, I just went ahead and blocked it 😂🚫3 yearsSo I got a call from someone on 02, and they were weirdly asking me and my mate if we were porn actors. Then they went on about offering us money or something, really odd.4 yearsI got a ring from Sky but it felt a bit dodgy, so I just ended the call.Sky4 yearsI hung up and decided to ring the number back, only to find out it wasn’t even a real number!4 yearsI let it ring out since no one left a voicemail, felt like one of those typical spam calls or telemarketers, nothing urgent for sure.4 yearsGot a call saying they were from O2, then got a couple of texts. They asked me for a code from the second message. But if you actually look at the messages (a bit tricky since they show up on the phone you’re talking on) they clearly say not to share the code with anyone, even if they say they’re from O2. They also warn that if someone calls asking for that code they just sent, it’s a con. The code is legit, because the fraudster triggers it by hitting ‘forgot password’ or something when trying to get into your account. Definitely a SCAM, stay sharp.4 yearsHeads up, I got a call from someone saying they were with O2 and told me as a ‘loyal customer’ I qualified for a 40% discount. They said they wouldn’t ask for any personal info but would send a text with a one-time passcode. I checked the message and it clearly warned that no O2 employee would ever ask for this code, and you shouldn’t share it with anyone. When I brought this up to the caller, he got a bit annoyed and insisted he was from O2 and didn’t need to prove anything. I told him again to carefully read the message and that if anyone demands that code, it’s a scam and the call should be ended. After that, he just hung up on me.Submit Your Own Report (0800 538 5980)
