Got a call from a guy with an Indian accent claiming to be from o2, saying I won a 30% discount on my bills. I told him, what’s 30% off nothing? Didn’t really get what he said back. Then I said I’m not even with o2, so how would I be getting any discount? He said he was struggling to follow me. I offered to keep explaining so he’d waste more time and scam fewer people. He finally seemed to get the message and just hung up.

Got a call from this Indian guy asking if I was on a 5g plan with o2. I told him, if you’re actually from o2, surely you’d already know. He said he’s got more than a thousand calls to get through daily. I just ended the call.

Told her straight up it was a scam, ended the call and blocked the number! Knew it was fake when she mentioned I was with O2, but I’m not even with them. Proper bad this is cos loads of people trust 0800 numbers. The phone companies seriously need to do more to protect us users, feels really disappointing!

They didn’t have any of my details or name on file. The caller was speaking with a strong foreign accent and sometimes it got really quiet, I guessed maybe they were consulting someone else on my questions.
