Someone just tried to get my mum's bank card details from her. Definitely steer clear of this number!

They called me claiming to be from the Telephone Preference Service. I told them I'd ring back and asked for their contact number, which they then provided.

Got a call from a withheld number earlier, with a guy speaking in an Asian accent who said his name was 'Peter'. Claimed he was from some company called PC6 AJ soft & apps IT team and gave me the number 08000988549. Same tired spiel about problems with my Windows system, asking if I was on my computer, all that. After around ten minutes I got fed up and told him I’d verify his info and call back. Yeah, no chance I’m doing that.

I got a call from this number, but it showed up as unavailable on my phone. After a good 20 minutes of chat, I finally managed to get them to tell me their number. When I called back, I asked for John Bull - NOT Alex Roberts, as the caller had said earlier when I said I'd ring back. They seemed a bit puzzled when I mentioned John Bull, paused for a moment and then said he’d already left for the day. Felt like total nonsense to me! If this isn’t some kind of scam, I don’t know what is. The guy was really pushing me to pay £85 for a year’s cover or £135 for two years, supposedly for some extra protection from the Windows service centre. Too dodgy for my liking.

Got a call earlier where the person claimed to be from Windows support. They wanted me to turn on my computer because apparently, it was infected with viruses! I wasn’t falling for it and told them straight up they were trying to scam me.

Has anyone else got a call from this number? Someone rang me saying my "windows" was going to crash and that I needed to set up my computer properly. Not sure if it’s for real or just some scam.

Received a call from this number, but the caller didn’t bother to leave a voice message. Quite curious, really.
