I’ve received a rather dodgy phone call today, claiming that my AOL account has been compromised and is sending out nasty emails or some such nonsense. The chap on the other end of the line even provided his name and an extension number, pushing me to ring him straight away, or else my AOL account would be shut down. Quite the scare tactic, wasn’t it?

I received a call from someone who claimed that my email would be shut down if I didn’t permit them to access my account. They expressed a desire to remotely log into my computer. I swiftly ended the conversation.
