Looks like someone’s out there using my national insurance number without my permission. Could be some kind of identity theft going on. Really worrying stuff.

This is without a doubt a scam - Santander's security team have confirmed it. They also ring from the number 0800 085 1281, so watch out for that one too. They won't stop calling me. Plus, I keep getting fake emails that look almost exactly like ones from Santander, very convincing stuff. Clearly, some very sneaky and relentless scammers behind this. If you bank with Santander, please be cautious. I've reported everything online to the police through actionfraud police.uk. Stay safe, everyone.

Got a call saying I’m over my limit but I don’t even use that bank. Definitely going to block this number! Total scam.

They say they're from Santander and just won't stop ringing, even after I've blocked the number. It’s really annoying, especially since they call on weekends too. Santander really need to sort this out.

They already had my name and after I hit 1, it said it would connect me to the ‘next available agent’. I waited a bit and when I finally got through, the so called ‘agent’ just said ‘hello’. That set off all my alarm bells. I’m really relieved I ended the call there and have since looked into them.

i ended the call straight away, but since i used to work at santander and still bank with them, i gave them a bell to check what was up. they said they hadn’t made any calls like that, which really got me thinking. the message knew my name though, which was a bit creepy. it sounded quite convincing with a proper british accent, like it could actually be from a bank. seems like they’ve put a fair bit of effort into this scam. probably just ringing numbers at random hoping to catch some santander customers, i guess.

Got a call from 08000852172 today. They said they were from Santander and asked the previous tenant, Anne, to press 1. Since I know Anne, I got in touch with her and advised her to reach out to her bank directly. Sounds like one of those typical scam calls, especially with others saying the same thing.

someone pretending to be from santander kept calling me over and over. they even send texts telling you to reply to certain phrases on a website. watch out because these fraudsters also send fake letters with a credit card number to your home address. quite dodgy!

Got a robocall claiming to be from Santander again, and weirdly, it even knew my first name which kinda freaked me out. They wanted me to press 1 to confirm my car, which I thought was really dodgy and risky.

I've been getting calls from a number claiming to be Santander and they even mentioned my full name. I've put them on block and reported it to the ICO since my number is on the TPS list, but these calls keep coming through and just end up on my voicemail now - despite having the number blocked!
