I’ve come across this number linked to a site that could be related to Privacy Guard or perhaps something else regarding credit monitoring. Honestly, it raises a few red flags for me, especially since my member number wasn’t acknowledged by the site. Interestingly, I stumbled upon another Privacy Guard website that seems to have the correct details along with a different contact number. Quite curious, don’t you think?

Indeed, that's us along with a few others. It appears to be more about preventing identity theft rather than safeguarding bank cards. If you could kindly refrain from ringing us further when the calls become too much, I assure you it would solve the issue. Thanks!

"An organisation that handles privacy protection and also gives a cheeky little ring now and then, eh?"

I'm keen to identify who these individuals might be. Can anyone shed some light on them?

The phone number in question is linked to Affinion, a company that provides privacy guard protection services in collaboration with Experian. Essentially, they charge a weekly fee of £6.99, giving you direct access to your credit report. This allows you to monitor who’s been looking at your file and can assist in identifying potential fraud. While it’s a handy safety net to have, it can quickly become bothersome if you find it's not something you really require.

It's rather puzzling that we've misplaced the details regarding this protection arrangement. We’re determined to push ahead and see it rectified as soon as we can. Could you kindly direct us to any documentation where we indicated our consent? Honestly, I’m not keen on the idea of reimbursing everything five times over. Please drop us an email at your earliest convenience.

I received a rather surprising call as well, from an outfit that claims to specialise in privacy protection. Did you happen to get this unexpected phone call too?

It’s quite baffling that I can’t even remember opting in for this protection scheme. We’re definitely looking into this matter further and will be cancelling it at the earliest opportunity. Could you please provide evidence of our approval for this? If not, I expect a full refund of the £5.55 that’s been deducted each time. Looking forward to your prompt response via email.
