Got a text from 07745 702698 telling me to call Santander about a big transaction I'd supposedly made. The number they want you to ring is 08000584870. Sounds totally dodgy to me, so I've reported it and blocked the number. Definitely a scam!

Honestly, I’m convinced this is some sort of con! I ended up chatting with them for a bit, and they seemed totally legit, very smooth with their talk. Don’t trust them though, they’re just after something from you. Stay clear of it!

They claimed to be from Santander and I got totally caught out by it. Unfortunately, I believed them. THIS IS DEFINITELY A SCAM! If you fancy some payback or just a laugh, ring this number non-stop all day - they have to pick up eventually and won’t know who’s calling. Absolute rotten people!!

Got a text from Santander with a one-time code saying there was a payment try and if it wasnt me to ring a number. It was in the same chat as a real message from Santander which made it seem legit. I called the number, got hold music and it sounded proper. When someone finally picked up, the person didn’t even say who they were and sounded quite pushy when I told them I wasn’t sure about it. After checking with Santander themselves, turns out it was a scam.

Received a text claiming to be from Santander saying a Standing Order was arranged for Khan Gas for £1976, and asking me to call the number provided. It showed up as Santander on my phone, matching their usual texts, but I decided to look the number up and yep, it's a scam. Quickly checked my bank and thankfully no such payment was set up. Not a chance they're getting that money from me!

Got a call about some PayPal payment thing, but it was defo a phishing scam. Don’t ring that number or share any info with them. It’s nothing to do with PayPal at all. If you wanna reach PayPal, just look up their official number on Google yourself.

I got an email that looked like it was from PayPal, asking me to pay some money. When I tried calling the number they gave, it felt like they were trying to hack into my phone and tablet or something. Seriously, just don’t call them back or reply to the message. Better to just block the number straight away! At one point, I even used some rude words just to see how they'd react, and they ended up shouting terrible insults at me, telling me to “go f*** my mum” and all sorts. No real PayPal rep would ever behave like that - something’s definitely off here.

Got an email from some dodgy number trying to scam money out of me. The message said I’d transferred £599.00 to KASPERSKY™ SECURITY via PayPal, but I never did. It told me to contact customer support on +44-800-058-4870 if I didn’t authorise it. Just a heads up, it’s definitely a phishing attempt trying to trick you into sending cash. Best thing to do is ignore it, maybe report it to the cops, then bin the email straight away. Don’t fall for it!

This number kept ringing me like 3 or 4 times one day and then about 6 times the next, so I just didn’t pick up and blocked it. Then on 1/12/2022, I got a text supposedly from PayPal saying I owed £599.99. I don’t know anyone connected to that or made any purchases, so I checked and saw this number linked to the payment. I cancelled it and reported it to PayPal straight away. Not long after, I got a call from 07861647168. Didn’t recognise it so I sent it to voicemail. When I listened back, it was some robotic voice saying something about unpaid taxes and to press 1 to sort it out - total scam. They kept saying it’s illegal not to pay taxes, but it’s a classic trick. I’ve blocked and reported both numbers now. When I looked up the 0800 058 4870 one, it had loads of scam reports but the other one (07861647168) didn’t. Just be careful with these numbers and report them if you see them pop up. Total SCAM!

This was totally a scam call centre. I got an email from what looked like Paypal saying I had a payment waiting. It even showed as pending on my Paypal account. When I rang the number, they acted like they already knew my info but then asked for my card details. It didn’t feel right, so I checked with the actual Paypal and they told me for sure it was a scam.

I called back the number after getting an email that looked like it was from PayPal.co.uk about a £698 transaction waiting to be approved. The guy on the phone wasn’t very clear since English didn’t seem to be his first language, but he got really pushy, demanding my credit card info and security details. I ended up giving my mum's maiden name by mistake! When he asked for my debit card, I almost gave it, but then I paused and thought, hang on a minute... I was really stressed out but that’s what made me hang up quick. They were so close to tricking me! Could’ve lost everything.
