Got a letter claiming to be from CTSI with their logo and all, but the contact number they provided was totally wrong. They said they wanted to help me get money back from some investment scam. Definitely gave the cops a ring about it and I'd say just ignore that nonsense.

I got a letter supposedly from CTSI about getting refunded some cash I’d put into a company. I gave them a ring, and long story short, they wanted me to pay money first to recover my investment. I decided to check with CTSI directly and asked if they’d sent anything. They confirmed they hadn’t - definitely a scam. Shortly after, those fake folks rang me again, still trying to say I’d called the wrong department. There’s only one official Trading Standards number online, and it’s definitely not the one they used. Plus, their office hours are 10am to 4pm.

I got a call from someone claiming to be from CTSI, using official letterhead, about investing in Fluid. The story they told me seemed really convincing, especially when they mentioned replacing certificates for £900. Felt like they had all the right details to make it believable.

Got a call back from someone claiming to be from CTSI, talking about swapping my certificates for a £900 fee. They made it sound really legit, even sent a letter on official letterhead about investing in Fluid. Felt a bit iffy though, like it might be a scam or something.

An elderly and seriously ill family friend of mine was tricked by some company called capital finance. They promised to help him get an early payout on an investment he made of £100,000 in future fuel renewables, which has now gone under. Sadly, they conned him out of £7,500 just a few weeks back. Thankfully, he trusted melt and he reported everything to all the necessary agencies. But just this morning, he received a fake letter supposedly from HMRC debt collectors demanding £25k he owes to capital finance, threatening action unless he calls the number provided within a week.

On the surface, they come across as really sincere and helpful, but when you look closer at the figures they mention, it just doesn’t add up. I've tried searching online for anything official or legit about them, but there’s nothing to be found. Makes you wonder what exactly they’re trying to cover up or if they’re truthful at all.

Got a letter with the ICF logo on it, including the company address and number, saying they would help us recover the last 20% plus interest if we paid £1200 to arrange a UK to UK bank transfer. They had all our accurate details, so it seemed legit at first. Should've checked the phone number beforehand. Totally a scam. This number should be blocked to prevent others from getting scammed too.

Got a letter with the ICF logo, company details and registration number on it. They claimed they could recover the last 20% plus interest for us, but only if we paid £1200 to arrange a UK bank transfer for the money. Since they had all our info spot on, it seemed legit. Looking back, we should have looked up the phone number before trusting them. Total scam, no doubt about it. This number really should be blocked to protect others from losing cash.

Got a call from some folks claiming to be London Capital Finance, saying I was owed the final 20% plus interest from when my company went bust. They wanted £1020 upfront as a fee, or so they said. The calls were pretty suspicious, with lots of withheld numbers ringing me back. Seems like a dodgy scam, this should defo be looked into before more people get caught out.

Claiming to be associated with London Capital Finance Plc, they've presented a rather enticing opportunity to reclaim a staggering 20% plus interest that was lost on bonds during the company's liquidation. However, they expect a fee of £1020 upfront!
These individuals are remarkably persuasive and relentless, pressuring you with a looming deadline to submit your claim.
They also tend to call back from a number that’s kept hidden.
This definitely raises red flags and warrants an urgent investigation as it seems to have all the hallmarks of a scam.

Got a letter saying it was from ICF (London Capital & Finance) asking me to ring a certain phone number. Sounded dodgy right away - they were offering more compensation than the FSCS usually pays out if I went through some "financial intermediary" called Capital Finance Limited. Looking it up, the FCA marked them as an "unauthorised firm". The phone number they gave actually shows up as belonging to "Anderson and Andrews" builders - feels like the same lot running a bunch of different scams?

I got a letter on official Icf headed paper with this number on it, saying they could help me get compensation - like the 20% plus interest the fscs didn’t pay me. A bit later, someone rang me back from a private number and asked me to send them money first before they’d release the funds they said I deserved. Obviously, it’s a con, so watch out for this one.

I got a letter that looked like it was from the Chartered Trading Standards Institute, printed on CISI letterhead. It told me to ring a certain number to claim a refund for money paid to a company supposedly under investigation. I looked up the CTSI contact info on their official website and that phone number wasn't listed anywhere. So I rang CTSI directly to check and they told me the number wasn't theirs at all. They've identified it as a scam and reported it accordingly.

I got a call from some place called London Capitals Finance, saying they wanted to refund some money we supposedly had. But when they said I needed to pay a fee first, I got really sceptical. Feels like a total scam or fake to me.
