Definitely scammers! Got a call like the person before me, some woman saying she was Sarah from property managers or whatever, asking if there was mould or cracks in the place. I asked what company she worked for and she just kept saying property managers. I asked again and again, then I said, "Why do you sound like a robot?" and she just hung up. Really hope no one falls for this, especially older folks. So sad if they do :(.

Got a text saying I missed a call at 17:22 on 22nd August from O2, with a note about a free Call Alert and instructions to turn it off by dialling 901 then * then option 5 twice. But my phone never actually rang and the message just ended up in my spam folder.

Got a call from a lady with an Indian accent saying she was calling from 02! She asked for a code, but I told her the warning about not sharing it ⚠️ and she kept pushing. Got a call from a lady with a thick Indian accent saying she was from O2, offering a 30% discount on my bill, sounded pretty legit. She even texted me a one-time code that was exactly like the real O2 messages. Then she asked for other phone numbers on my account to send more codes, wanting me to give them over the phone in under 2 minutes. When I said no and hung up, she got really rude and pushy. I rang O2 to check and they confirmed it was a scam and they're looking into it. They told me to change my password and keep an eye on my account.

I said "Sorry?" - He repeated, "Hello, I’m calling from O2"... I shot back, well, you can bugger off... I ended the call...!!! Definitely a phishing scam...!!!

I asked her to say my name first, but she said she couldn’t without the code (which was a giveaway since the contract isn’t under my name, so O2 wouldn’t reach out to me about deals). They also told me the code was meant to be kept private and only shared with them. I wasn’t having any of it, gave them a piece of my mind, they chuckled, and then I just ended the call.

Then he sent another text with a security code. I gave him the first couple of digits, then realised something was off and hung up right away. He kept ringing back and sent even more texts with different security codes. I got in touch with o2 straight away to report it.

Then spotted a ‘first direct debit to O2’ for £30.80, which was more than my regular payment. Rang my bank, they cancelled the DD and gave me the money back, lucky me!
