I reckon this number is linked to a scam operation masquerading as Microsoft, claiming that your device has been infected with a virus.

I’ve secured my laptop after receiving a phone call. The individual on the other end claimed to be called Eddy, but his Indian accent seemed a bit off for that name, so I promptly hung up on him. Currently, my laptop is in the hands of a technician getting a full inspection to ensure everything's still running smoothly.

I stumbled upon their webpage on my partner's computer, which was absolutely riddled with alarming warnings and an incessant blaring sound. It was clearly trying to mimic a Microsoft site. After looking up the phone number using this service, I figured out what was going on. A quick restart of the PC did the trick, and thankfully, that nuisance of a page vanished.

It's a bit disheartening, isn't it? Yet, there are still plenty of people who seem to bite on the same worn-out trick. "Switch your computer on, follow these steps." It's almost absurd how they respond with blind obedience, isn't it? One can't help but feel a genuine sense of disbelief.

Blimey, my laptop got completely frozen and it really did seem like an official communication from Microsoft. However, after checking the number on this site and glancing through the comments, I decided to shut it down. I then yanked out the battery, put it back in, and voilà—it started working fine again! I can’t thank you lot enough for your assistance!

Just had a rather dodgy phone call from an Indian call centre, masquerading as Microsoft. They were demanding payment to supposedly eliminate some nasty malware from my machine. Can you believe it? They even had the cheek to request credit card details for their so-called technical support centre over in the UK. Utter nonsense!
