I've had an unusual encounter with someone claiming to be from Microsoft, and it genuinely raised my eyebrows. It's a bit alarming, to be honest. They wanted to dispatch someone to my house! Can you believe it? The number they called from was 0800 041 8481. This chap, with a foreign accent, didn’t bother with any phone troubleshooting; instead, he insisted on getting my home address to send someone right to my doorstep. It’s rather unsettling, to say the least!
