I got a call from Royal Bank of Scotland about my credit card. They wanted to confirm a transaction abroad, making sure I knew about it and had approved it.

I received a rather suspicious call purporting to be from my bank, and it certainly raised a few eyebrows.

I got a call on 25 August 2021 from 0800 0154859, with someone saying they were Fraud Prevention from RBS Credit Cards. It just felt dodgy, so I ended the call straight away. After hanging up, I rang RBS on the number printed on the back of my debit card. They told me the call wasn’t from them and they wouldn’t get in touch like that about fraud, so it was probably a scam attempt.
