My phone just blocked the number thinking it was some kind of spam, so it never even showed a ring on my end.

Got a text from what looked like my bank saying someone had added themselves as a beneficiary on my account. It told me to log in via a link they sent to cancel it. I didn’t click the link, just deleted the message straight away since it seemed fishy and possibly some kind of virus.

First call claimed it was HM Revenue and Customs, then they rang again from another number. Quite suspicious!

I got a text supposedly from HMRC saying I’m entitled to a tax refund. It had a .gov website link where it asked me to log in and figure out the amount. Seemed a bit fishy to me.
