Honestly, I'd just get rid of that number. It's actually one connected to EE, acting like some kinda spy. Every message you send seems to go through it before it ends up in your inbox. Feels like they assume you’re guilty before you’re innocent, reading all your texts ahead of you. Sure, we all know Apple and Google snoop on our phones a lot and take loads of our info, but this number isn’t really needed at all. I took it off and my messages kept working perfectly - sending and receiving just the same.

So this number connects to some SMSC thing, right? I’m pretty new to all this internet stuff. My neighbour, Leigh Doherty, lives near me at 3 Fore St, Port Glasgow PA14 5EE. I’m sure she’s got access to my WiFi and probably all my data too. It’s been driving me nuts for months now, feels like a nightmare every night. I've noticed an alarming number of unexpected calls to this number on our mobile, each costing 17p. It’s racked up to nearly £6 already, and that’s without even factoring in what’s still unbilled. I'm quite concerned and plan to investigate how long this has been happening. It’s truly frustrating!

I received a charge on our bill from this number, despite having plenty of inclusive minutes remaining. I called up T-Mobile to get to the bottom of the situation, and the gentleman I spoke to, albeit in a rather convoluted manner-since I’m not particularly tech-savvy, I must admit-explained that it appears our number is potentially being hijacked by an individual using a computer to make calls to Ghana. He mentioned that there had been a few calls from our line in recent days and they were more than willing to assist us in looking into this matter further.

I've noticed a fair bit of activity on our phone bill lately, especially after my recent trip back from Indonesia. I'm a Virgin customer. Strangely, we suspect that the messages we've sent and received are legitimate, yet they show up under this mysterious number. The incoming texts have similar digits, just varying by 80 or 85 at the end. What's puzzling is that the messages we sent, which we are sure were genuine, are nowhere to be found. It seems like it could be how Virgin logs SMS messages when they're international. Best wishes.

Following on from what we've mentioned earlier, the gentleman who rang us up advised that we should closely monitor our statements. If we spot any more unexpected charges appearing, we’d be eligible for yet another refund. She's already taken care of the fees for the rings that were charged to our account, so I'm pleased she understands the situation. At this moment, our complaint has been escalated to a more senior support representative, and we anticipate a response from them in a matter of weeks. Hope this information proves useful! :)

I've noticed a couple of charges on our T Cell bill linked to this number, but it’s peculiar as there’s no sign of those calls in our ‘dialled numbers’ list on the phone. Quite baffling, if you ask me! I reckon I’ll need to raise this issue with T Cell.

We've accumulated quite a bit on our account as well; we just got back from Indonesia. I'm with Virgin too. We thought these messages were from genuine sources, and we acted on that assumption. Oddly enough, the numbers keep popping up as blocked or unrecognised. It's nearly always the same, with the last digits being 80 or 85. This week, we've noticed some charges listed as "Divert" on our bill pertaining to this number. After giving T-Mobile a call, they informed us that it's an issue on their end. Apparently, they're aware of the situation and are currently working to resolve it while also ensuring that refunds are issued to affected customers.
