Got a dodgy text from +44 7402 572654 claiming my Netflix’s on hold 'cause they couldn’t take payment. Said I had to update my billing info at some weird link like account-renew(###]- netflix support to keep watching. Definitely a scam!

When I downloaded the Caffe Nero App and linked it with my RBS card, they carried out a small 2p transaction to ensure it was functioning correctly. Since this transaction seemed unusual to RBS, they put a temporary block on my card and sent me a message regarding this matter. Therefore, the phone number 07860020943 is indeed a legitimate contact number for RBS credit card services.

I don’t own a credit card, so I rang the number on the back of my debit card to check up on some transactions. Turns out, the details they gave me were completely fake! Just a heads up to be careful!

On the 7th of March 2018, I received a communication from the legitimate fraud team at RBS. They informed me about a series of transactions that were not authorized by me. Shortly after, I received a phone call from one of their representatives, who personally listed even more unauthorized transactions. I was reassured that my card would be cancelled and replaced, and that I would be fully refunded for any lost funds.

I can assure you that this is completely authentic. I have just completed the process, and they were conducting a routine check due to increased transactions during the holiday season. Since it is Christmas, I have been unavoidably spending more than usual.

I have received a legitimate message from Natwest cards fraud team, verifying the authenticity of recent transactions. At first, I had my doubts because I was unfamiliar with the purchases. They were all from British websites selling ladies clothing, all made within a 30-minute window. To add to the confusion, I was in the Netherlands for business when I received the text. As it turned out, my suspicions were unfounded - it was actually my wife treating herself to some great deals on Cyber Monday! Caught red-handed! Well, it seems that mischief happens when one is away...😏

Looks like a scam to me. I got a couple of texts from this number and another one, plus an automated call from an 0800 number all claiming to be NatWest about my bank account. Problem is, I don’t even have an account with NatWest. The initial text came from a blocked number but said it was NatWest and warned to expect more messages from that number. They were talking about transactions I never made, nothing from my account at all! Definitely a scam. Best not to trust calls or texts from anywhere but the phone number on the back of your bank card or listed on NatWest’s official website.

I received a text from Nat West notifying me of recent card transactions, but since I don't bank with them, it was quite obvious that it was a scam. Another text was sent, listing the transactions that were declined and approved, and requesting a response of either Yes or No if I recognized them or not. Of course, I chose not to reply at all.

At first I was a bit suspicious about getting a text from this number, but after I rang the Natwest fraud department using the number from their official site, it seems legit. Someone cloned my bank card and tried to make a payment, but they caught it in time. So, don't dismiss any messages from this number, it might be important.

This morning, I received a text message from a certain number, followed by an automated phone call, both claiming to be from RBS. Due to some comments I read on this platform, I had my doubts. Therefore, I decided to contact RBS directly to verify the authenticity of the information provided in both the text and the phone message. As it turns out, they were indeed genuine. It would be highly beneficial if individuals only left comments on sites like this when they are certain about the authenticity of the messages.

This is a genuine message, which surprised me because I've had problems with my NatWest accounts before. What made me doubtful was that I received a text asking for a response of either "y" or "n" from the number 07860, right below the NatWest name. Oddly enough, when I checked my NatWest statement, I called the number provided there. They informed me that someone had attempted a transaction of £1.80, which is a typical strategy used by fraudsters. They start with a small amount to test if it will go through and then become bolder by attempting larger amounts. I was redirected to the NatWest Fraud department, and they cancelled my card. I strongly advise against ignoring this message - it could be risky!

I received a text from what appeared to be NatWest Bank, indicating that I would soon receive a call from the number 07860 020943. The purpose of the call would be to verify recent transactions made on my credit card. Not long ago, I had deleted a message asking me to confirm a credit card transaction by responding with either 'y' or 'n'. I deleted it because it didn't seem genuine and didn't align with typical bank practices. However, when I phoned the customer service number located on my card to inquire about the text message, I was directed to the fraud department. There, I learned that my card had been cloned or duplicated by criminals. Consequently, my card was promptly canceled and I am now awaiting a replacement.

This is certainly a scam. I received a text message identical to the comments posted below. Before I knew it, my bank's fraud team reached out to me concerning some unauthorized spending in India. We went through the usual procedure of getting a new card, but it is important to stay vigilant. These deceitful individuals are actively trying to steal from innocent people.

If someone claims that this isn't a scam, they are probably involved in it. Never provide personal information and immediately end the conversation. Then, use a different phone to contact your bank. This is without a doubt a scam. Interestingly, I don't even bank with NatW4st, yet I have received multiple messages and calls from them!

Absolutely authentic! I dialled the number found on my RBS Mastercard to inquire about this matter, and it turned out to be concerning a minor transaction that they suspected could be fraudulent. Not quite sure what triggered their concern, but I’m relieved they have such watchful measures in action.

Simply give your bank a call! I find it puzzling to see numerous conflicting comments here. I called with about 90 percent certainty that this was a scam, but to my astonishment, it turned out to be authentic. It's really straightforward - just ring your bank!

I reached out to the anti-fraud hotline for the RBS Group (which includes NatWest and others) after receiving a text asking me to respond with Y or N about recent transactions. Instead of replying to the message, I decided it was wiser to directly call the number. Thankfully, it was the real deal. If you have any doubts about following this guidance, I recommend calling the numbers found on the reverse of your debit or credit card for added peace of mind.

I recently received what appears to be a fake SMS from someone pretending to be my bank. The message included a phone number that read - . In the SMS, they mentioned that they needed to verify some recent transactions on my credit card. They also informed me that I would soon receive another message from the number 07860 020943 with further instructions. However, when I received a message from that number, it simply stated: "xxx GBP in Italy. Please reply Y if you made this transaction. If you do not recognize it, please reply N." It's worth noting that the first message did not contain any essential details that a real bank might provide, such as including the last digits of my credit card. Additionally, I have never visited or made any purchases in Italy.

I recently participated in a survey for Sky Broadband, and as a result, they provided me with an enticing offer that included a few complimentary items, like face cream and whitening toothpaste, for just the cost of postage. I ended up clicking on the link and entered my credit card info, specifically a charge of £2.95. Then I received a message stating, "We need to verify a recent transaction on your credit card. Shortly, you will receive a text from 07860 020943 with further instructions." However, I've yet to see anything from that number. The only communications I've received are two emails from "Stemologica," which seemed quite convincing, informing me that my products will be dispatched soon. Could this possibly be a scam? Should I contact my credit card provider out of caution? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. The initial call said it was from Sky Broadband and subsequently, I got that message indicating Mint, along with the text I've already mentioned.

Initially, I thought it was some sort of con, especially receiving a message trying to charge over £900 with a prompt to reply Y or N. So, I decided to contact my bank for clarification. To my surprise, it turned out to be legitimate! They promptly halted the transaction and blocked my card. Best not to take chances-make sure you get in touch with your bank if you receive anything similar!

I recently received a fake SMS pretending to be from my bank. The message included a phone number. However, I decided to call my bank using the number on the back of my credit card. They informed me that the SMS was a fraudulent attempt, and advised me to disregard it. Interestingly, the initial message lacked important information that a legitimate bank would typically include, such as the last few digits of my credit card. For your reference, here is what the message said: "We need to verify some recent transactions on your credit card. Shortly you'll receive a message from 07860 020943 with details of how to proceed." The subsequent message from that number stated: "xxx GBP at APPLIANCES ONLINE. Reply Y if you made this transaction. If you do not recognize it, please reply N."
