I've just experienced something very similar, you cheeky chaps! Our yearly contract is up for renewal and we're definitely not signing up again. It's a bit of a dilemma, to be honest, but their customer service has been utterly dreadful (as pointed out by Watchdog), and they still haven’t sorted out the issue with my internet router. This latest debacle has really tipped the scales! Sky, I really hope you start paying attention because your service is quite frankly appalling, and it seems you're trying to pull a fast one on customers. I'm off to find better options. We’re considering your HD package, but I think we'll be going for Freesat HD from the BBC/ITV instead!

I recently received a text asking for my thoughts on a call I'd had with Sky. We actually had rung them just the other day. We replied 'yes' to share our feedback, but shortly after, we got another message filled with yes-no questions. Before replying, I figured I should check our balance, and lo and behold, that first text had already cost us over a pound! It’s become quite clear that Sky wouldn’t be using a mobile number for this, so why not just give me a bell if they're after opinions? Take it from me, don’t make the same mistake we did by naively replying, as it will end up costing you! What a nuisance!

We received the exact same message as you, but here’s the thing - we don’t own a television, nor have we ever reached out to Sky. So, we figured it was just a spam text, especially since we're already on the Telephone Preference Service. I'm quite relieved we didn’t respond, as that could've been a costly mistake! Cheers to everyone for sharing their experiences. We’ll definitely be notifying the authorities about this number.

We received a text as well, just a day after enrolling! Honestly, it's hard to fathom that Sky would send us such a message, so we brushed it off and decided to investigate the number.
