Got a text claiming to be from NHS test and trace and thought it was legit. Clicked on the link and ended up ordering a COVID test kit from what looked like an official NHS site. I paid £1.75 for postage using my debit card. A few days after, someone drained money from my bank account. Luckily, I was able to get the cash back, but it could’ve been way worse! Such dodgy folks out there!

Just got a dodgy call saying it was from the NHS about coronavirus. They asked for bank details which definitely doesn’t sound right - NHS would never do that. Sounds like one of those phishing scams trying to get you to click a link and steal your card info. Don’t fall for it! Make sure to report the number and give a heads up to your relatives and mates, especially the older ones. Stay safe!

Got a call from someone claiming they were in touch with a person infected with the Omicron variant. Seemed fishy to me, sounded like one of those scam calls trying to spook you. Definitely wouldn’t trust it!

They said I was close to someone with the omicron variant, but I've been home sick with post covid stuff and haven't gone out since the 27th of January. So, I'm pretty sure this is just a scam. Plus, I use the NHS track and trace app and it hasn't showed me anything recently.

Got a message on my old phone, no apps or anything to do with covid on it. Phone was on its own at home when the text came through from +447759129497 at around 4:52pm on Thursday 10/02/22. It said something like I’d been near someone who tested positive and told me to order a test here: https://testing-kit-home.com. I rang my local chemist and they said real messages always have the NHS logo and no typos or bad grammar. So I just deleted it and didn’t open the link. Felt a bit off to me.

I got a dodgy call claiming to be from the NHS about a covid test for some omicron variant. They said I had to pay a £1 delivery fee to receive the kit. Seemed fishy anyway, especially as they wanted my card details - I'm convinced they’d just clean out your bank account.
