Got a call from 07714434073 saying there was unusual activity on my bank account. It sounded dodgy so I hung up straight away - definitely a scam!

Got a call from 07751184771 claiming to be Virgin Media about my internet speed and how many devices I use. They’ve called me a couple of times before. I didn’t give any info and said I’d check my router. Told them I wasn’t sure if they were really from Virgin Media, and then the woman started swearing and just hung up on me.

7.30 in the morning!! Some foreign lady calling about my computer, but I don’t even own one! When I mentioned this, she made this weird noise I couldn’t quite work out. Told her she ought to be embarrassed.

Avoid this company and the number 01212745550, it’s a total scam in my opinion. They claim to help find lost phones but it’s all fake. I signed up and got nothing, then tried to cancel but before I knew it they charged me £34.99 after just a small initial fee. The number 07773788389 they use is actually just an answerphone from Virgin Landline, so it’s obviously a front for their scam. I’ve reported it to my bank. Honestly can’t believe Google lets these scammers advertise next to proper firms. Stay well clear of Locate Perso UK!

Got a call from 44 7746267515 saying they were from the Post Office about a missed delivery. They asked for my full name, address, and even my credit card details to pay a £1.20 redelivery fee. Sounds like a scam to me!

Got loads of calls from 07742397819 and other similar 077 numbers starting Friday 8th October. Nine calls on Saturday 9th October, then six more by midday on Monday 11th. Also, two different people rang asking if I called them because their phones showed my home number. I definitely didn't call them. When I used 1471 to check, it showed an 077 number for those two callers. It’s really annoying and feels like harassment. I’ve reported it to Ofcom but I’m not expecting much to be done about it.

Got a call from 07793323402, a woman with a strong accent claiming to be calling about my BT line. When I told her I don’t have BT and called it a scam, she got pretty annoyed. I found the actual owner by dialling 1471 and called him back. Turned out his phone had been cloned! I told him to contact his network operator straight away. What steps can we take to stop our mobile numbers from being cloned like this?

Got a call from a number starting 077, I picked up but all i got was just the dialling tone. Sounds like theyre just throwing cash away - defo not mine tho. Got a call just now. The bloke first wanted to know if I was with BT, then asked if I was with Sky, then if I had a bunch of washing machines. I said yes, but when he pressed about how old they were, I kept quiet. Then he randomly asked if I had high blood pressure, so I said 70 to mess with him. I started laughing and told him I was recording and would report him to the police. He asks back, "What's your favourite colour?" Got fed up and ended the call. Used 1471, and the number that showed up was 077, odd right?
