Beware of this Apple Wallet scam, it's a total joke. I’ve got an Android, so I only use Google Pay, which makes this all the more obvious. As soon as the message popped up, Bitdefender Security on my phone immediately flagged it. Seriously, just don’t click on the link!

If you happen to receive dodgy text messages, make sure to send them over to 7726 - your mobile provider will take a look and may even take action to shut down the number. Avoid clicking on any links in those messages! And, if you’ve already clicked through and provided any banking info, get in touch with your bank or card issuer without delay and have that card cancelled. Better safe than sorry!

Got a call from +44 7529 673874 around 1am GMT claiming the post office failed to deliver a parcel. They told me to click a link and pay £1.99. Then, at about 5am GMT, I got a message saying my Google Pay had been deactivated. Definitely looked dodgy to me.

Just like others have mentioned, on the 14th of May 2022 I got a text claiming to be from NHS-UK saying I’d been near someone with Omicron, telling me to click a link to order a PCR test and pay 99p delivery. Total scam, so I blocked the number straight away. Then on 20th May 2022, another message popped up saying my Apple Pay had been disabled. Obviously another con, so I blocked that number too.
