Came across this note this evening: "Attention: Jamie attempted to deliver your parcel today, but there was no one home. Kindly arrange another date at: ..." I wasn’t anticipating any package, and my postie isn’t called Jamie, so this seems rather odd. Whatever you do, steer clear of that link! My wife fell for a similar trap a few months back. Her bank account got compromised, resulting in a loss of £400. Thankfully, the bank sorted it out in the end, but do exercise utmost caution. Scammers are an incredibly despicable bunch!

Just to add, a few comments below this one explain how to report these dodgy calls and messages. We get spammed nonstop since some folks unfortunately take the bait, handing over a nice little tax-free payday to these scam crews. But the problem keeps growing because hardly anyone actually reports these scams. The police don’t really see the full scale of this because they’re not told about most of these fraud attempts. Do us all a favour and report every single suspicious call or text you get. It really doesn’t take much longer than just leaving a quick comment here.
