BEWARE - I've received messages requesting my bank information to cover the cost of a PCR test.

Received a call claiming to be from the NHS, requesting a payment of £3.99 for a PCR test.

I received a message stating that I haven't processed a £2.99 refund from Royal Mail.

NHS Scam Alert! Yesterday evening, I received a rather alarming text that claimed: "NHS: You’ve come into contact with someone carrying the Omicron variant. Please order your free PCR testing kit here: ..." Given the current climate of scams, particularly around health issues, I decided to verify it. I first checked my NHS Covid app, only to find no alerts present. Just to be sure, I contacted a friend who works within Test and Trace to get her thoughts on it. After cross-referencing the sender's number (+447519328614) on who-calls.me.uk, we discovered it had been checked a staggering 181 times since early January. After a bit more digging, we both agreed it raised red flags and was likely a scam. I went ahead and reported it to Action Fraud (which was a bit cumbersome, as they don't have a specific category for text messages). This morning, I rang 119 to verify my Covid records. The operator kindly confirmed I had not received any legitimate messages, which was a huge relief! She also mentioned that any official communication from NHS Test and Trace would always include both my name and date of birth. I thought it might be prudent to share this information, considering how rampant these scams seem to be getting. Stay vigilant!

I'm convinced this is a dodgy scheme, likely trying to swindle you into paying so-called "Hermes charges" by asking for your bank details. The website they're pointing to isn't even affiliated with Hermes. Steer clear of that link and refrain from providing any information - they may very well attempt to fleece you for amounts much larger than those "charges." It's always wise to verify any outstanding payments directly with the legitimate provider by calling the number listed on their genuine website. Stay vigilant!

I thought it might be Hermes, but I wasn't really anticipating a delivery. So, I’m chalking this one up to spam.

Got a voicemail saying my Amazon Prime had been compromised or something like that. Total scam, called it out straight away.

I received a message claiming to be from Hermes, asking me to settle a fee for a delivery that I never actually received. The odd thing is, I wasn't anticipating any package at all, and there was no delivery driver in sight. It all seems rather dodgy to me!

Counterfeit Hermes goods, I reckon.
