Got a call from a woman from India saying my Telstra internet was going to be disconnected. I’ve already blocked this number since it’s happened a few times. I don’t get how a blocked caller can still get through to me?? These annoying calls are driving me nuts!!

Got a call earlier, some woman was telling me my internet was about to get disconnected and claimed she was from the Telstra Bigpond tech team. Hung up straight away after I picked up.

Just got a call today at 1:14pm on 30/5/2018 from the number listed above. Some woman with an Indian accent said she was from Telstra and mentioned my internet. Total scam! I don’t get why these dodgy calls keep getting through when my number is supposed to be on the "Do Not Call" list. Really frustrating!

Got a couple calls saying my internet would be disconnected. I said to ring back with a supervisor. I was well aware it was dodgy but figured I'd just mess about and waste their time.

Got two calls today from someone saying they were with Telstra, telling me my internet was being compromised and they had to cut me off for a couple of days. When I asked for more details, they claimed my account was hacked and someone was accessing it without permission. I told them it was total rubbish since my downloads looked absolutely normal, then asked to speak with their manager. They just ended the call right away. (Spoke with an Indian or Pakistani accent)

I got two calls from this number earlier but they just hung up as soon as I picked up. Tried ringing them back but it just said the call couldn't go through.

Got a call earlier from this number, it was a friendly woman claiming to be from Telstra’s connections team. She told me my phone was going to be disconnected unless I paid up. Ended up spending $450 to get it back on. Anyone know if the payment receipt shows up on the next bill?

This number has called me a few times. When I told them I didn’t own a computer, the bloke actually said I was fibbing! Today, I told them I wasn’t the person on the account and they just ended the call. Honestly, don’t fall for these scams!!

Just got a call outta nowhere today. When I asked who was calling, they told me it was Telstra Bigpond tech support and said my internet was on the brink of being disconnected. I asked for a ref number and the caller's name, but they just ended the call straight away... bit sketchy if you ask me.

Got a call from this number around 1:30pm on Wednesday 24/01/18. Over the past week or so, I’ve noticed quite a few missed calls from them. When I finally answered, after a short pause, a lady with what sounded like an Indian or Pakist*ani accent said she was calling from Telstra Technical Support. She told me my internet would be cut off for 40 days and asked if I was aware of this.
I told her straight up that it was nonsense and there was no way that was happening. She quickly ended the call after that.
Seems like these scammers are back at it again.

My mum kept getting calls from this number in Sydney, saying her computer needed an update. Thing is, she hasn't got a computer at all! Sounds like a typical scam to me. I'd say ignore these guys and don't give them a penny.

Got a ring today from a woman with an Indian accent claiming she was calling from Telstra. She said my internet would be cut off for a month because they found some dodgy malware on my system. Total rubbish! I asked her to specify which device and IP address she was talking about since I have both a work and a personal computer. She couldn’t even give me my own address or Telstra account number. In the end, she just hung up on me! Watch out for this scam - they trick you into logging in and putting info into your computer, which actually installs the virus, then they want to charge you to fix it!

Heads up, this number seems dodgy! I heard weird noises in the background when they rang me. Tried calling back on the number that showed up, but it just said the line was no longer in service. Probably a scam.

I work at a Medical Centre and today we’ve received more than 20 calls warning that our internet would be cut off unless we followed some instructions on the keyboard. Of course, I ignored the requests, but it really worries me thinking about how older folks might fall for these scams.

I got a call from this number that definitely sounded like it was from India. The person claimed my internet would be cut off for 16 days by some company I’ve never even heard about. I quickly ended the call because it felt dodgy. When I tried ringing the number that showed on my caller ID afterwards, it was dead. Totally a scam.
