Got a text with a link that looked like it was from HMRC, but it’s a scam. Don’t click it because it tries to grab your passwords. If you accidentally did click, you should probably change all your passwords straight away.

Got a call from someone claiming to be HMRC, and they sent me a sketchy link. Didn't touch it and I’d advise you stay away from it too. Feels like a total scam.

Got a message from this number saying I had a new message from H M R C with a link to something like ihimric[###]. Didn’t click on it. Then about a week later, I got a call from 07812 758634, person said they were from HMRC Fraud unit in Cardiff. They wanted me to verify stuff via the government gateway or via post, but they wouldn’t give me any official contact info. Still waiting to see what happens next.

Got a message that claimed it was from PayPal about some payment to Slimbody Ltd or something. Turned out it wasn't really from PayPal though. Didn't click on any links just to be safe.

Just got a text supposedly from PayPal saying there was a £175 payment on a car sales place, and it had an OTP code too. It told me to click a link if I didn’t make that transaction. Of course I didn’t click anything. The number was +4599 10022. Be careful everyone, looks like these scammers are switching up their tactics!

This number 0459910022 called me and then sent a message pretending to be PayPal about confirming a payment to Next. I didn’t follow any links in the text and checked my PayPal directly, no payment there at all. I’ve blocked the number now, would recommend you do the same if they get in touch with you.

We got a couple of calls from this number and both times they gave us a dodgy website. Watch out for the bit that says RE DIRECT in the web address - that’s the clue it’s a scam. The start of the site looks perfectly legit, but then it reroutes you to a fake page where they try to con you out of money. Definitely don’t trust it!

I just got a message from this number claiming to be from Three mobile, stating that they were unable to process my bill for this month. They urged me to verify my credit card info or update it through a dubious-looking link they provided. It's a rather sinister attempt, and it feels like they're out to empty your bank account. What's even more amusing is that the number is registered with Telstra, yet they're pretending to be Three Mobile!

I got a couple of messages saying my bill didn’t go through, but they didn’t seem right - weren’t like the usual texts from Three. I’d just watched an episode of Rip Off Britain warning about these Three scams, so pretty sure it was dodgy. I’m just deleting the messages. It’s really helpful to read other people’s stories on here, keeps you aware and stops the scammers getting away with it.

Totally a scam, got a text saying I needed to update my card info on my phone account. I went along with it cos I just got a new card, but then it sent me to a site asking for my bank passwords to verify. That made me suspicious, so I quickly blocked my card. A couple of minutes later, my bank texted me that a £298 payment got declined 'cause of the freeze. Dodged a bullet there!

Got a text supposedly from NOS saying there was an issue with my mobile bill and asking for my bank info to sort it out. Of course, I didn’t reply with anything. Plus, I’m not even a customer of the phone provider they claimed I had an account with.
