Sent a message containing a link earlier today. With all the stuff going on and having to sort things out with Gov.uk loads recently, I nearly got tricked but then thought it was dodgy when they asked for bank info, so they ended up with my email, name & address. Got a message around 1:50 this afternoon saying it was from HMRC. I clicked the link, which led me to a gov.uk site. It said I could get a tax refund and even had my name and postcode on there. Got a text that looked like it was from PayPal saying I’d paid MotorsUkLTD or something? Then it told me to follow ppusers[###] if I wanted to cancel. Quite fishy if you ask me.

Got a text about a failed payment of 79.99 from LeatherCo through PayPal. It sent me to a PayPal site. We’ve already switched our password just to be safe.

I got a text saying "You got 1 new message(s) from H M R C [#]hcrmcm[###]". When I looked up the number, turns out it’s linked to Denmark. But funny thing is, the site they mention points me to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Bit dodgy if you ask me.

Got a text from this number claiming to be HMRC about a tax refund. It had a link that looked like it was from the official GOV website, but it definitely wasn’t. Watch out, it’s dodgy.

Today I got a message supposedly from PayPal telling me I owed £79.99 to LeatherCO. Total scam. Just deleted it straight away and didn’t reply.

This is definitely a scam, don’t bother clicking the link at all.

Got a text from this number saying my payment for three was declined and to tap on the link. A few days back, the same number messaged me pretending to be PayPal. It definitely felt dodgy.
