3 yearsI’ve had identical correspondence to what others have mentioned. It’s unequivocally a con!3 yearsI got one of those dodgy letters claiming my credit application had been declined. The phone number linked to the scam was right there in the correspondence.3 yearsI recently came across a dodgy letter that pretended to be from Argos, claiming that my applications for their Monthly Payment Plan (there were three, mind you) had been declined. To top it off, the letter directed me to call a number purportedly for Experian, which turned out to be another scam! I don’t usually deal with credit, and initially, I was worried that someone might be trying to impersonate me. However, the wording in the letters was a bit off, which led me to do some digging into the real companies involved.ArgosExperian4 yearsI got a call from 0345 600 2317 saying they were from Argos payment plans. They refused my request and said they checked my details with Experian, but I reckon they used a fake number for them. I’ve never actually applied for any payment plans cos they’re just too pricey. I’m thinking of checking out Action Fraud and finding the real Argos number through the internet or phone directory now.ArgosExperianAction FraudSubmit Your Own Report (0345 600 2317)
