I made sure to hang up promptly and not share any details, but after a rather long twenty-minute hold, when I finally reached the fraud team at TSB, I discovered that the call had indeed come from the bank itself and was completely legitimate.

Yup, it’s definitely TSB. They rang me to check if I made an order online with a nearby shop but I ended up cancelling it before finishing. I wasn’t keen on chatting with a robot, so I rang the number on my card and got through to a real person - sorted everything in no time. TSB’s service was spot on, but honestly, calls like this shouldn’t be done by machines. No one wants to give their bank info to an automated system. If you get a call like this, just phone the number on your card instead and you’ll talk to an actual person.

Got a text on my mobile saying they were from TSB, asking if I had made a payment of £2,450 for airline tickets. Got a call earlier claiming to be from TSB Fraud Dept. Since I’d already had a payment blocked, I figured I better check it out, so I dialled the number straight from the TSB official site. The lady I first spoke to cross-checked that number on their list and confirmed it was linked to card fraud, then passed me on. If you’re unsure, always ring a number you can trust. Playing phone tag is annoying but way safer.

Got a call again from this number today at 10:15am, claiming I’d fallen victim to online fraud. Like I mentioned before, I rang the number on my credit card and they had no clue about this one. Then, just ten minutes ago, I got a text saying my son was also a victim of online fraud - both of us in one day! Funny thing is, my son’s not even in the country right now and he stopped using TSB Bank ages ago.

This number called me pretending to be from TSB Fraud team. I rang the number on the back of my credit card to check and TSB said they had no record of this caller. I’m confused how others believe it’s real cause I didn’t get any info like that today. Plus, the woman from my bank said I would have got a text from the actual TSB Fraud Dept, which I never got. Watch out for this number!

Got a voicemail from "TSB" on my home phone saying there was a suspicious fraud attempt on my account and to ring the given number. To be sure, I rang the number on the back of my debit card and the bank confirmed 03453 561016 was their fraud department. Sounds like the message was legit. Always best to check by calling the official number on your card or your nearest branch. They ended up freezing my card and sending a new one just to be safe.

Heads up, I got a call from this lot, lucky I didn’t pick up. You say it’s alright cause it’s from TSB, but why would they ring me when I haven’t even got an account with them? Seems like a scam to me. Don't share any info with them - better to call TSB using a number from the phone directory to check if it’s legit. Seriously, watch out, these people are real clever. I say this from experience, I’ve fallen for a scam like this before and it was awful.

15/01/2017, this was clearly a scam. TSB told me that somebody’s trying to steal my details to fraudulently get into my account. I phoned TSB straight away because I wasn’t sure, and they confirmed no one from their side had contacted me. They cancelled my card and are sending me a new one now. TSB said they’ll never ask for your sort code, account number, expiry date and issue date all at once. If you’re unsure, ring TSB without delay. Be careful and protect your cash, folks.

I got some missed calls from TSB claiming to be from their fraud team. I figured it was a scam at first. So, I rang TSB’s official number and they confirmed it was genuine. Apparently, someone tried to use my card info to move money to a PayPal account, but since the IP came from Ireland, the transactions got blocked. They cancelled my card and posted me a new one, also advising me not to keep my card details saved on any websites.

I've come across this phone number linked to the fraud division at TSB, and it's crucial that you take it seriously. I received a heads-up about the potential misuse of my online banking details, and lo and behold, someone had indeed accessed my account. There was an attempt to siphon off £105, which thankfully didn’t go through, but a smaller transaction just shy of £5 slipped through the cracks. The good news is that I’ll be reimbursed for that.
