Some cash was withdrawn from my bank without my say so, I called my bank and they told me it came from a business called accounttower[###], and this number was linked to them.

Without a doubt, it’s the Halifax fraud team. They spotted 2 dodgy transactions at about 3 in the morning and began calling straight away. It was a bit frustrating at the time but honestly, they saved me a lot of money. For those mentioning it shows up as BoS, that’s right too - Halifax is under the Bank of Scotland group! Also noticed the last digit occasionally switches to a 5.

Actually got put through to the real Fraud dept after calling this number - it made me double check my bank statement and I spotted about five dodgy charges from both Europe and the States adding up to about £119. Luckily, they cancelled my card straight away, gave me a refund for the weird transactions and sent out a new card.
