03453003973 called me with one of those recorded messages. I didn’t press 1 and ended the call straight away, then reached out to the HMRC Fraud Team to check. They told me it’s definitely a scam. If you press 1, they’ll likely try to get your card info or send you through to an expensive premium rate line. Best thing to do? Just ignore it and hang up immediately.

I got a call from someone claiming to be with the HM Revenue about some tax dodging issue. The bloke was quite aggressive and threatening, total scam if you ask me. Won't be picking up any more 0345 numbers after that for sure.
