About 15 minutes back I got a ring from 0345300004 claiming to be from HMRC about some fraud issue. I usually don’t pick up calls from unknown numbers, so I just hung up straight away.

Got a call saying it’s HMRC about some fraud issue, and they told me to press 1 or else I’d be arrested. Total scam!

Just like others here, I didn’t press any number and ended the call straight away. I then got in touch with the HMRC Fraud team to let them know what happened. They asked me for all the info and told me they don’t make random calls like that. If you owe money, they send letters first, not phone calls. Plus, they wouldn’t ask for payment on the spot or threaten legal action. I’ve given them the caller’s number in the hope they can sort these scammers out.

I got a call from 0345 300 3928 claiming to be HMRC. They said I'd be arrested right away if I didn’t sort things out, which was pretty scary. I've got OCD and anxiety, so it really threw me off. Definitely felt like a scam just like others mentioned here. Not a nice experience at all.

Got a call from 0345 300 3928 with a recorded voice telling me to press one or I’d be arrested soon. It really sounds like a scam, trying to trick people by pretending to be from HMRC or BT. It’s ridiculous how these criminals get away with this stuff. Why don’t the authorities do something to catch these idiots? The number is almost the same as a real HMRC line, which just makes it more confusing for people.

Aren't these calls meant to be banned by the government by now? If they're scamming people out of cash, surely there's some kind of digital trail making it simple to track them down. Plus, any companies helping move the money must be involved in criminal activity too. Makes you wonder why nothing gets done.

Got a call claiming to be from HMRC about tax fraud, told me to press 1 to speak to someone. When I did, the person spoke in a really strong Indian accent and asked my name and how they could assist me. I just hung up straight away. If you’re really from HMRC, surely you’d already know who I am and why you’re calling? What a load of rubbish!

Just got a call from them telling me I’d done fraud and if I didn’t hit one to talk to some officer, they’d arrest me straight away with a warrant. It really freaked me out at first. totally a scam, just like the other ones ppl said. they claim to be from hmrc and say they’ll send an arrest warrant if you dont do something quick! i just ignored it and didn’t hit any number.
