I'm so tired of these callers, they keep ringing from loads of different numbers, all connected to my O2 contract it seems, claiming they can offer a better deal. You have to be really cautious about what you say. I've had to tell them to remove my number and stop calling, but that just doesn’t stop them. Now I just ignore any unknown numbers on both my mobile and landline. I'm in the North East.

Received a call from this number, and the gentleman on the line claimed to represent O2. He was quite amiable and had some personal details, like my address and how long I’d been a customer. He sounded genuine, and initially mentioned he could help me save some cash. However, when he realised that my data consumption was minimal, it turned out he couldn't provide any offers tailored for me. He did mention I could get a tablet and a SIM card, but I decided against it. Interestingly, he suggested I visit the O2 website to look up any rewards I might qualify for. Overall, he wasn't overly aggressive in his approach.

They warned me never to give any personal info no matter how much they seem to know. Definitely a scam! Plus, they called on a bank holiday, which just proves they’re not genuine - O2 wouldn’t be ringing customers on a day when they don’t work.

Total scam alert! They get some of your info, act like O2 loyalty, and try to sign you up for a new contract. They ask for a one-time code, then either say they'll send it or just hang up on you. Not all of them sound Indian, some even have British or Yorkshire accents. I called O2 with the number and they said it’s definitely a scam. You can report these by texting ’call’ to 7726, and they’ll ask you for the number.

I just got a call from this number - a very courteous Indian man claiming to be from O2, offering me an amazing deal to cut my monthly bill down to £24. I thanked him and told him to send me the info by email so I could think about it. What was a bit strange was that he seemed to know my current monthly fee almost exactly, within 50p or so… Then he said O2 didn’t have my email on file. I told him I get emails from them regularly. He replied, oh, but I’m from a different team... So, yeah, that was enough for me.

I recently received a phone call from this number. The chap on the line had a strong Indian accent and was trying to entice me with a deal to reduce my bill while boosting my data allowance to 10GB. He seemed to have quite a bit of information about my current plan and the amount I’m being charged. However, my instincts kicked in when he mentioned it would take around 10 minutes to sort the 'administration'. I was at work, so I requested him to ring me back later. Strangely, he then claimed it would only take 8 minutes, then he revised it to 5 minutes! He was rather insistent, which only heightened my suspicions. I decided to hang up and block the number. It clearly reeks of a scam attempt.
