Got a call from some mobile number claiming to be from 3, my current provider. They said they could sort me a discount on my bill, and I nearly went along with it. But then they wanted the full card number, which made me suspicious. When I asked why, the excuse was something like ‘to avoid getting two bills, ma’am’, which didn’t sit right with me at all. I told them to ring back later. Sure enough, they called again from an 0333 number, but I ignored it - they rang no less than five times in under a minute! Glad I didn’t get tricked by this one.

Some bloke with an Indian accent was attempting to dupe my granddad, luckily I was around to step in and stop it.

I got a call from someone who said they were aware of a previous order I made for a phone where I supposedly never got a £35 refund, which made it sound legit at first. Then they tried to get me to agree to a 35% discount on my bill but started asking for really personal stuff, like the 1st, 5th and final digits of my password - something a genuine company would never ask for! They also seemed to have my card info and address, which honestly freaked me out.

I got a call from a guy with an Indian accent claiming he was calling from Vodafone and that I was owed some refund. I told him not to phone me again, but then I got four more calls after that! When is this going to end? The authorities really need to step in and put a stop to this!

Beware of some dodgy phone contract scams run by Vodafone Ltd here in the UK. They try to trap you into long deals that aren’t worth it at all. Just make sure you read all the small print before signing anything with them.

Received a rather dodgy phone call earlier, purportedly from O2, trying to sell me some kind of promotional offer with a 20% discount. However, the chap on the other end couldn't verify my email and instead asked for my address, claiming they’d forward a link so I could complete my account information. It rang alarm bells for me-definitely sounded like a scam!

This is definitely a dodgy call pretending to be from O2. Beware, it’s just a scam trying to trick you.

getting calls non stop. defo an o2 scam going on here.

Heads up, you might get a random text with the word "Airtime" and a pin number inside it... shortly after, someone calling claiming to be from O2 will ring you asking for that pin. Don't hand it over under any circumstances! It's totally a scam and giving them that code can let them get into your O2 account. Luckily, I realised it was dodgy right after receiving the text, before they phoned.

Bloody annoying! Got 4 missed calls in just 3 minutes. Pretty clear this one's desperate, probably hasn't met their scam quota yet. Then I even got an airtime pin through - that's gotta be dodgy!

I asked my other half for his email, thinking if this was actually O2, they’d have it on file already. Then they sent a PIN which raised red flags, so we’ve flagged it as a scam.

This week, I've been receiving calls from a multitude of different numbers, and it seems they're making quite the effort to get in touch with me.

Received a top-up pin and then got a call from someone claiming to be from O2, trying to sell me a better deal. I hung up straight away; it was clearly a scam!

I had a phone call from someone purporting to be from O2, suggesting that as a long-standing customer, I was eligible for a whopping 40% off. However, they quickly moved on to requesting personal information to supposedly confirm my account for this lovely discount. I didn’t buy into it, so I’ve reported the incident to O2 and blocked the number.

Got a message from this number with a pin code, feels dodgy like a scam to me.

First I got an airtime pin text, then a call supposedly from O2 asking if I was happy with their service and my signal. Cheers to the person who posted below me, now I know how to handle their next call haha!

At first I got a text about some airtime pin, then like half an hour later, this number rang me twice saying they were from O2, but they wouldn't say whose account it was or give me any details. So I just blocked the number straight away.

I chose not to pick up when this number rang, thought I’d double-check it first. Right away, I got a PIN sent to me, so I figured it’s one of those dodgy scam calls. They’ve rung me a few times before - same thing, I ignored the call and they’d just send a PIN via text. Looks like a bit of a routine with this number. Honestly, better to just ignore and not get involved.

Claimed to be from O2 and requested me to verify my email address. I have a strong suspicion that this individual, who had an Indian accent, was attempting to pull a fast one on me!

There was loads of noise like a busy call centre when she finally spoke, a woman with an Indian accent claiming she was from O2, which is actually my phone provider. Then, just as she talked, I got a text pop up called 'Airtime' with a PIN number on it. I had a sneaky feeling she wanted that PIN to get into my account and do dodgy stuff, so I hung up straight away.

Got multiple calls from someone saying they were from o2, ringing me about a 40% reduction on my bill. Asked her how much I owed but she had no clue. Definitely a scam.

I got called three times from this number before they finally left a voicemail saying to ring them back, and that it wouldn't cost me a thing! Total SCAM SCAM SCAM.

The caller claimed they were from O2 but had no clue who I was. "This is O2, ma’am," they said, speaking with a strong Indian accent. There was a lot of background noise, people talking all at once. Even if I’d cared, I couldn’t make out what they were saying. I kept asking who they wanted to speak to, but all I got was a few “hello ma’am” replies before they just ended the call. Definitely a scam. I’ve blocked the number now.

Got a text from Airtime with this number. Didn’t bother answering or clicking any links. If it was something urgent, they would’ve left me a voicemail, but nope, nothing at all.

Got a call a couple times today from this number but it showed up as a possible scam, so I didn’t pick up. Definitely gonna block it to stop any more calls.

I got loads of calls from all sorts of numbers after I wouldn’t give them all the info they wanted. Then the next day, one call came through and when I called back, the person said it was ‘O2’ - sure, like I’m buying that!! I told them I’d reported them, but honestly, it seemed like they didn’t give a toss!

Got a text with a pin code I never asked for, no info about who sent it, just something about 'airtime'. Later that same number rang me, but I didn't pick up since I was in a meeting. They didn’t leave a voicemail either, which seemed odd for a legitimate call. I didn’t bother calling back. After looking up the number online, it came up as possibly a scam, so I’ve blocked it now.

Somebody rang saying they were from O2 and asked to confirm my email address. I gave it to them, then the call just dropped, but they kept ringing me again and again. Didn’t want me to hang up on them, felt like harassment honestly. I stopped answering after a bit. Nope, they’re definitely getting blocked!
